We have stayed many times at gordens and always look forward to our next visit. Our room is clean and breakfast is always fresh and hot. Well done sue and her team. Keep up the good work x sue is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. Parking is limited but there is a car park opposite.

We have stayed at this hotel before and knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. As usual a very friendly welcome. Our room was, as usual, clean, neat, tidy and welcoming.
Well situated in the centre of Cheddar village, it is a good base to explore the surrounding area. Bus services to all areas, so no need to use car if you choose not to. Excellent tasty breakfast served by friendly staff very efficiently. Excellent value for money and highly recommended. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Three night deal is a bargain. Cottage rooms lovely.

We had a lovely stay at Gordons. It's a family run business and all the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. They gave us great advice on what to do in the local area. The breakfast was excellent and the room spacious and comfortable. The heated outdoor swimming pool is lovely to unwind in at the end of the day. The hotel is in the centre of town so we could walk to Cheddar Gorge, which is incredible, and we were able to walk to go out for dinner both nights. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights, first impressions are good, it is clean n tidy, and the owner is amenable. The Decor is a bit dated, but it isn't awful :). The first night was pretty awful however, as it turned out the room only had a single glazed window. So we had the treat of yelling drunks, boy racers with loud cars and a party at a pub up the road transmitted loud and clear to our ears. Then to add insult to injury the person in the room above came in and proceeded to stomp around and use the loo (with macerator) every 10 min. About 2.30 am I turned to the missus and apologised for choosing the hotel. There is really no sound insulation from the surrounding rooms or outside.
In the morning, breakfast was nice, usual choice of cereal and cooked food, toast n jam. The pool is a nice touch, and it was nice to have a little wind down one afternoon. The second and third nights were much more quiet as it was a Sunday and Monday night, and other than ourselves the hotel was pretty much empty. Also I noticed that some of the windows were double glazed, so some rooms may be more quiet. The bed was comfy, and clean, and the bathroom was clean and useable.

This is the first time I've ever reviewed anything on TripAdvisor - I was so pleased with our stay that I had to review Gordon's. The location was perfect to walk the gorge, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were very welcoming to us and our 5 month old baby. We even left some of his clothes in the room and Sue kindly posted them to us!!

There is WiFi available in the Guest Lounge, but this means that some guests have to leave their rooms to use it, and can't be doing other things eg packing while waiting for a download etc - rather inconvenient and easy to fix.

Room Tip: Rooms in main building mostly have WiFi in room, those in Annex do not.

Gordon's Hotel combines the intimacy of a B&B with the anonymity of a Boutique Hotel. Within walking distance to all Gorge attractions, this hotel provides everything that a traveller needs: the owners have thought of the lot. We have travelled the world, our enjoyment of staying at Gordon's is right up there with the most memorable. Breakfast was a joy, and the pool with open hours that accommodate a traveller was an additional bonus. We are happy to recommend it to others and wish all associated with the service provided the success they deserve.

Room Tip: Most rooms don't have wifi but it is available free in the lounge room
