I'm quite surprised by seeing the reviews for here! We stopped in when we went to Chedder Gorge last week whilst on a family holiday in Cornwall.
We were quickly seated and we had a small table for me, my husband and our three year old son. The menu was the same pretty much as all of the other tea rooms - sandwiches, jacket potatos, omlettes etc but perfect for a lunch. We ordered cheese on toast, cheese ploughmans and a cheese jacket potato and the food came reasonably quickly and was delicous. We asked for a plastic cup for our son and they bought this straight away, the price was reasonable and the tea lovely (in a classic tea pot which lovely cutlery).
The place is great with photos of the family all over the walls and it feels like stepping back in time a bit and the waitresses were very sweet and helpful.
We would definately recommend going there.
