If you are looking for modern with large bathrooms and big flat screen TV, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for character, charm and cozy, you have found the right place. Right from the start we received a very warm welcome.

The owners were justifiably proud of their business and took pride in making sure you were comfortable, but what was even more impressive is that the staff in the bar/restaurant on the evening were just as friendly and attentive.

If you need somewhere for an evening meal the pub/restaurant was very good and very reasonably priced, but I would advise booking in advance as they seemed popular. Breakfasts were excellent quality, well presented and plentiful.

A fantastic B&B with a warm friendly restaurant/pub and at very reasonable rates.
We highly recommend and certainly hope to return!

We stayed at the Stag's Head Inn on the early May Bank Holiday and cannot recommend it highly enough - the rooms are spacious and classically done, the food is fantastic and all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. If you need somewhere in Dunster look no further than here, and when you arrive in the pub I can recommend the Exmoor Ale! Enjoy!

We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Although not initially overwhelmed with the curb-appeal not the bar lobby area, once led up to our room our opinions changed dramatically. Beautiful room with exposed beams, very comfortable bed and felt very clean and homely. A lot of additional, unexpected touches came with the room, free local toffees, biscuits and bottles of water. As we arrived late we decided to eat in the pub (we had not booked although we were advised to do so at the time of booking) and although fully booked- the place was heaving!- they managed to squeeze us in and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast the next day was delicious and very generous with a huge selection of delicious fruits and cereals as well as a perfectly cooked fry-up.
Would definitely return and recommend.

We went to the Stags Head for supper and we had a lovely meal. We were made to feel very welcome and instantly at home.

The food was beautifully cooked, wel presented.and the service was second to none.

We recently ate in one of the best restaurants in Bristol and the service at the Stags Head was of a higher standard.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights on 11-12th November. The double room allocated was brilliant - spotless, nice comfy big bed, en-suite shower/bathroom, tv, tea/coffee facilities. The pub is very pleasant with a log fire, a good range of beers, very good food (even if the choice is little limited), friendly staff. Run by a lovely couple. The pub is set in heart of Dunster - a real picture postcard place. Best pub I've ever stayed at. I shall be returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stags Head. Dunster is very quaint and the pub was cozy with a log fire, excellent food and a very comfortable bedroom with a king sized bed. The staff were friendly without being intrusive and the service was excellent, which all contributed to a very enjoyable few days away. Unfortunately there is no car park but we managed to find a spot across the road, there is also parking right outside the pub overnight, and the benefits far outweighed this small inconvenience. We would absolutely recommend this pub to everyone.
