Visiting this part of the north devon/somerset coast a cream tea is almost obligatory.
Locks Tea Rooms in Dunster High Street will be very hard to beat.
Inside or out in the sheltered courtyards cosy tables are perfect.
The waitress who served us was smartly turned out, smiling, cheerful & efficient.
Unless you are very hungry one of their delicious scones will be sufficient, try the ginger scone with honey if you fancy a change from the conventional scone & jam, portions of the clotted cream are generous.
Two speciality teas, 3 scones, two portions of cream, jam & honey & small pot of a delicious looking West Country Cider Chutney to take home all for under £14, excellent value.

we went here in the outside garden for a sandwich and coffee. I am not a large eater and could manage to eat only half of my ham sandwich which was made with chunky granary bread with crisps/salad and coleslaw on the side. My only criticism would be that 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees and 1 glass of water came to a pretty hefty £17.50.

Stopped there for a quick brunch. Staff were patient, efficient, polite and helpful.

The place is beautiful on a sunny day and prices are reasonable. They accept cards, which is very helpful in small places like these.

Lovely hidden tea rooms, will be back at some point.

Delicious victorian cream tea, with lots of choice, all very tasty. Service could not have been better. Have eaten here on previous occasions all have been lovely but this was the best so far. Would thoroughly recommend.
