My first visit but my friends second (which tells you something). Room was really lovely, quiet and tranquil. Nick gave us friendly welcome and carried our luggage upstairs. Breakfast first day was excellent but could not eat it all! Second day of cheese omlette was much better for me.
Excellent weather finished the weekend off.

Room Tip: My friend and I shared the King Suite which had 2 bedrooms and its own King Size Bathroom which was...

Very clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodation. Great hosts and also a pleasure to meet Rosie & Jed (the friendly dogs) as well. Easy booking over the phone.
Melinda's omlete for breakfast was top notch and perfect start for the day.
Although no TV in the room the guest lounge was expansive and well equiped and a offered an option not always available in other accommodation.
Location good for access (by car) to Minehead & N Devon coast as well as Taunton and Bridgwater.

This was our first visit to Townsend B&B and it did not disappoint! We were all really impressed with the comfort, friendliness and excellent food offered here! On arrival, Nick welcomed us warmly and offered a tea tray in the lounge which was lovely - it kicked off a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Our children (aged 6 and 11) were accommodated well in the family rooms and were also made to feel very welcome. From gorgeous breakfasts to a taste of Nick's home brew, Nick and Melinda truly provided a 'home from home' experience. We would all definitely stay here again!

Nick and Melinda have a beautiful home and made us feel very welcome. Melinda had good communication from the date of our booking. She made restaurant reservations for us which we found very helpful.

The B&B is in a pretty rural setting but also near to Dunster. I understand you can walk to the town through the countryside. However, we drove due to rain forecast.

The rooms were spacious with good quality bedding. I slept very well.

Melinda makes the best omelet and scrambled eggs.

My husband, myself and my teenage son had a two night break here. Nick & Melinda were friendly and genuinely warm. We had to change our original booking at the last minute and they went out of their way to be helpful, accommodating and sensitive regarding the circumstances. We were greeted by name and given a tea tray with biscuits on arrival (very gratefully received!). The breakfast choice was lovely and set us up perfectly for the day. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable and personalised - definitely not your standard B & B room. Nick & Melinda had a wealth of local knowledge and were happy to make recommendations for places to visit as well as restaurants. We had a lovely, much needed relaxing stay and would not hesitate to recommend this to other people. We will be back.
