The day out was fabulous. The castle itself was interesting and had the mixture of formality and letting children be involved just right. The staff were excellent, helpful and informative. The grounds beautiful as it was a sunny day we could sit outside and play the games provided. The toilets were immaculate. Faultless

Dunstar castle is well worth a visit if you travel to dunstar by Somerset railway you get a discount for the castle on production of your ticket. Staff at the castle were helpful and informative, the castle and it's gardens were amazing. Be aware that if you catch the train to dunstar it's a fair walk up to the castle they run a bus shuttle but only on weds and sat.

The caste is in a very good condition and the garden is like an arboretum. The watermill was very exciting. Good place to visit with kids.

This is an excellent National Trust property and one we have returned 4 times. On this occasion there were added activities of archery and pistol shooting in the grounds
