Owner description: Dunster wishes to invite you to its brand new community museum and doll collection. Come and discover the amazing story of this beautiful village and travel through time from its foundation to the present. Visit us and explore our vibrant history, hear stories of Viking raids and bloodshed in the Civil War, tales of romance in the time of Lords and Ladies and see how history has shaped the idyllic place that thousands visit every year. Also see our fabulous Doll Collection. We have one of the largest collections of dolls in the country, with thousands of dolls spanning different time eras, cultures and manufacturers. The collection is always growing so there are likely to be many new additions and faces if you have visited before! Situated in the beautiful medieval village of Dunster, we are located on the gateway to Exmoor National Park. Come and visit us today! PLEASE NOTE: The Project is still under way and as such not all aspects of it are complete. We thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

“"Happy Memories"”

In Dunster today & tipping down with rain, not that one really needs an excuse to revisit this dear little museum. Years since we'd last had the opportunity & was as good as we remembered. It can't help but bring back happy memories of childhood, especially to ladies of a certain age! The volunteer on duty was very helpful to. We would recomend to anyone in the area.

“A wonderful devotion by one person”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2011

A truly wonderful exhibition of dolls and toys through the last century. Its a shame that the number of volunteer helpers has dwindled as we were not able to go in this year (September 2011) and were sorry to have missed the amazing displays.
