“Second Stay......”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

My wife and I enjoyed a week in one of the chalets on Dunster Beach last September and we have just returned from a second stay. Nothing has changed...We both still love it. Being able to sit in the chalet watching tremendous thunder and lightening storms out at sea on a couple of nights was amazing. The on site shop is well stocked and its cafe does a really excellent breakfast which is worth sampling. The entire site is very well maintained. An improvement from our last visit is that the Wi-Fi signal now extends further and I was able to get on line in our chalet without problem. Once again we found the shower blocks to be spotlessly clean. This is a very restful place to stay, with lovely walks in or around the site, as well as having the beach nearly on your doorstep, however it is also a good base to use for touring the area.

“Beachside Chalet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

We have just spent 5 wonderful days at Beachside, which is a beautiful and well equipped chalet overlooking the sea, funnily enough!! Having spent many happy holidays at Dunster Beach when I was growing up in the 60's and early 70's, I suddenly had an urge to revisit the place I had been so happy. I was not disappointed, and as we drove onto the site and got our first look at the chalets, it was as if time had stood still. if you want a real get away from it all place to unwind, look no further. Beachside is a little home from home, its clean, well presented and comfortable. We will be returning!!

“Kelly's chalet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014

I was unbelievably surprised to read a negative review for this chalet! 4 of us spent a fabulous week here just a few weeks ago. The chalet was spotless and the sofa, cooker and utensils were very clean and in good working order. Granted the fence and gate need replacing but upon booking, Kelly explained that this was going to be done but was not possible during the terrible wet winter we have had. Anyway, who spends time looking at them when the views of the sea are so stunning! We were comfortable, warm and snug and took advantage of everything the local area has to offer. We have already booked for later in the season and can,t wait ... A real home from home in these quaint historic chalets - thank you Kelly! X

“Dunster beach chalet 115 "kellys"”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014 via mobile

Dunster beach is amazing, the chalet we hired was disgraceful.
Kellys chalet 115 is far from "luxury" as described.
The site is beautiful, clean, tidy.
The showers are spotless.
The shop and staff very accomodating.
The chalet 115 is something from 1950, I think the cooker and utensils have been there from the beginning.
States sleeps 4, yes it does but probably sits 2 comfortably,
It is dog friendly inside but use the deck chair provided to block the fence to stop dogs getting out.
We took 6 throws to keep the place clean, but they did assist in keeping us off the dirty sofa.
I would recommend Dunster to anyone but not " chalet 115 " !!

“Time stands still”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2014

We spent many happy holidays here when our children were younger. A relaxing area, superb for exploring Exmoor etc the chalets vary some being more upgraded than others. It offered the good old days atmosphere and we hope this will remain
