“Wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

We stayed at Millstream Cottage back in September so I've been rather slow in writing this review.
We found it on one of the tourist accomodation websites and then checked the reviews on Tripadvisor. Given the level of previous ratings it looked like a good place to stay and we weren't disappointed.
Sue met us upon arrival and was very welcoming. She promptly brought us tea and home made cakes and biscuits in the lounge. They were excellent.
The whole place was very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable, very clean and again very nicely decorated.
Sue has excellent knowledge of the area and gave us lots of ideas of where to go and where to eat in the evenings. The breakfast was lovely and Sue and Charles were great hosts. We chatted for ages which made us feel most welcome in their house.
We had gone to Dunster to meet up with some friends who have a chalet on Dunster beach so next time we go Millstream Cottage will be top of our list of accommodation because we'd love to stay there again.

We stayed for our fifth time at Mill Stream Cottage, as ever everything was perfect,
Sue and Charles are the perfect hosts, the usual very warm welcome with Sue's lovely home made cake and tea on arrival, we have stayed in all the rooms and all rooms are perfect!!!
Again Sue's home made biscuits in the bedrooms , delicious !!!
The breakfast are perfect, service excellent, nothing is too much trouble for these hosts, they are simply the best! Will be going back again in 2014.

Lin and I had a lovely couple of nights with Sue and Charles at the Millstream on the occasion of our wedding anniversary at the end of November.
Our host couldn't have been more attentive to us including firing up the woodburner to enable us to really feel like we were coming home.
Dunster is a gem with plenty to see and do within a short walk from the Millstream.
Lovely room and superb breakfast so we would definitely return.

Charles Dickens wrote Great Expectations and Mr Kipling made exceedingly good cakes!!
Well our hosts Sue & Charles exceeded all expectations. What more can I say.

From the tiniest detail to the scrumptious cakes. The perfect breakfast fresh and most satisfying. So much time and effort is spent on the guests to ensure they have a relaxing and enjoyable break. My husband and I have visited before and we can't recommend them highly enough!!

We had a very warm welcome from Sue on arrival for our 4 night stay. After showing us our room, Sue served coffee and delicious home-made cake in the comfortable lounge. She gave us advice on things to do, places to go and restaurants that she recommended. We stayed in room 1 which has a view over the garden and along West Street. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, with the soft furnishings made by Sue herself. The other two rooms are decorated to the same high standard.
We do not tend to eat cooked breakfasts but were very happy with the selection of fresh fruits and yoghurts, home-made jams and compote.
We liked The Stag's Head, Hathaways and Reeves restaurants, all recommended by Sue and Charles. Sue also made all the bookings for us.
The cottage is right in the village so you can leave your car and take one of the many walks locally. Alternatively there is plenty to do within a short drive.
The success of this B&B is that the hosts enjoy what they are doing and provide a lovely friendly environment to relax and enjoy your holiday.
As with so many other reviewers, we thoroughly recommend Millstream Cottage.

Wow, what an amazing awesome time we had during our stay with Sue and Charles. First Class all the way! My husband from South Africa, my sister and husband from Oz and myself from UK. We were looked after so perfectly - delicious breakfast - with order for eggs cooked whichever way we wanted. Extremely clean and comfortable bedrooms, with delicious home made biscuits. Dunster is a must to visit with a night or two staying at Millstream Cottage. Big thank you to you both. Hosts with the Most!!

From the moment we arrived at Millstream Cottage to when we reluctantly had to leave, we were treated to service from Sue and Charles that was second to none. On arrival you are seated in the lovely residents' lounge and served tea and Sue's delicious home made cake. A nice touch and a great start to your stay!! We were shown our room which was clean, comfortable and had lots of extras to make your holiday that little bit more special. Breakfast was excellent - lots to choose from including, to start, fresh fruit, yogurt, and porridge as well as the usual cereals, followed by what ever you want from the menu - the full works, eggs on toast, haddock with poached egg etc, and rounded off with toast with home made jam and marmalade. More than enough to set you up for the day!!! Sue was kind enough to recommend places to go for our evening meal. Not only did she recommend but as soon as we made our decision she immediately phoned the establshment and booked on our our behalf. Thank you Sue and Charles, for a great couple of days at Millstream Cottage and we will certainly return.
