The place is warm and friendly with a great selection on the menu. The menu ranges from freshly cooked breakfasts to light lunches such as jacket potatoes and sandwiches and hot specials including: pies, roast lunches, homemade soups, salads and other traditional meals. There is a good selection of drinks including a range of wines, beers, ciders, local juices and soft drinks and a wide range of teas and coffees. The staff here are very attentive and welcoming! They were very knowledgeable about the Tea Rooms and the food and it was good to hear that the ingredients used are local and the food is all homemade! The tea rooms is also open on Thursday & Friday evenings offering a range of meals including European and international dishes which differs from the day. There is also a live harpist playing which gives a fantastic atmosphere to the place! The menu caters for meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and people with various allergies as does the day menu which also includes a gluten free breakfast and gluten and dairy free cakes! On Sundays there is a traditional roast lunch served and the restaurant is always well booked on this day. A different meat is served each week on a three weekly cycle together with roast chicken and a vegan nut roast. The meat is always local and the vegetables are fresh and seasonal. There is also a large selection of homemade hot and cold desserts served with local clotted cream or ice cream to finish off your meal. This lovely Tea Rooms offers everything one could have asked for. A welcoming atmosphere, lovely food and fantastic staff! The prices are very reasonable and one gets very good value for money and they even offer outside seating. The tea rooms offers an outside catering service and made decorated celebration cakes to order. This tea rooms is well wort a visit if you enjoy a good food and a friendly welcome.

If you are looking for olde worlde rather than funky then this is the place. This is a classic tea shop with horse brasses and faux flowery curtains. Food was excellent, clotted cream tea was generous with home made scones and plenty of jam and cream. Good selection of tea, again very generous pots & extra hot water. Good selection of home made cakes too. Service was excellent, friendly & attentive. Would thoroughly recommend.

As a 'transplant' to Pennsylvania, USA, every visit back to the 'Old Country' includes a visit to Glastonbury, a jewel of British tradition and ancient history. The telluric energy is intense, but at the same time relaxing and cleansing - similar to Sedona, Arizona. Aside from a stroll around the Abbey grounds and the ascent of the Tor, a cream tea in the Abbey Tea Rooms is essential every day - there is nothing else like it on this planet!! It is listed in my personal list of five best places to eat in the world (which I have seen extensively) and I recommend it heartily to all our American friends and neighbours travelling to that area. Thanks for the tasty treat, and hope to see you again soon!

The Abbey Tearoom is a classic of its kind. Wonderful home made cakes and scones...the cheese scones melt in your mouth. It is a great place to go for a light lunch or an afternoon tea. Service is attentive and friendly, and they are accommodating to families with children. Good value for money, too. The only slight let-down is that the decor is a bit dated, but it is clean and cosy.

We came across this place whilst looking around Glastonbury, what a find!

Good quality homemade food at decent prices?! I thought these kind of places went out of business years ago! I will certainly pop back at some point in the near future. Try the shortbread, yummmmmmmmmmmmy

Staff were very welcoming, hence i made sure the lady got a tip at the end, she deserved it.
