We visited the Abbey Tea Rooms on the recommendation of our tour guide. The food is simple and very good. My husband and I tried to order local specialties and were not disappointed. I am sure that the waitress thought we were crazy but we ordered local cider, cheddar cheese and Wiltshire ham sandwiches and a scone and clotted cream for dessert. The scone was the best thing that I have ever eaten. It was truly delicious and satisfying food. We really enjoyed it. The waitress was very nice and humored our silly decisions and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Great location in city center. Wonderful tea, sandwiches, and soup. The local cheese comes from nearby Cheshire and it is amazing, FYI for all cheese lovers!

As soon as you walk through the door, you know you're in a tea and cake lover's paradise. Everything home made, plus scones and clotted cream, make sure you arrive hungry.

Have been going to these tea rooms for some 10 years, it is even frequented by the actor Nicholas Cage when he's in Somerset. The staff are lovely and so friendly, the owner Mary is absolutely delightful and always takes the time to chat to her customers. The food is great value for money, a real lovely 'English' tea room and a real gem in Glastonbury. The service is polite and speedy, what is there to not like about it? Everyone I have ever taken there for tea or lunch are still talking about it years down the line!

Such a cute tea room and the location is great - across the street from the Abbey - but our sandwiches were not fantastic (bread was a bit dry). service was super and food arrived quickly. I It was a toss up between average and very good. Consider this a 3.5 review.
