We were so impressed with our visit last year that we booked the same week for this year and were not disappointed. - Same results - spotless and manicured site with really friendly staff.
Thank you sincerely.

Staying here for the first time, in our little Eriba caravan. On arrival had a very friendly welcome and soon got booked in, shown to our pitch, and told we could pitch how we liked as long as we stayed on the hard standing. Facilities are superb, really could not be faulted, and everything is kept spotless and so tidy. Very quite site, on our pitch today all we could here was birdsong. The site shop sells all basic necessities and sells some lovely homemade cake which the wife enjoys .....a lot! Also sells freshly baked bread other local produce. Very dog friendly site with a lovely dog walk with a hot doggy wash (shower) very useful for our little pappions. First class cannot praise high enough.

We spend 2 nights here last weekend, having been given the 'glamping' trip as an engagement present, and with neither of us having stayed in a touring park before we were not sure what to expect. We were impressed by the ease of booking and friendly staff on the phone. On arrival this continued and all the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Our cabin/pod was a delight and surprisingly romantic - compact but bright and airy with a gorgeous skylight so we could lie in bed and look at the stars, but also complete blackout blinds so we were afforded long lie-ins! There is electricity in the cabin, and toasters, kettles, lights and a heater are provided. The campsite is well laid out and very clean, with lovely shower blocks and plentiful water sources, appropriate lighting and a well stocked on site shop (the local cider and cheese is a must). There is a strong push to recycle which we liked. Dogs are also welcomed, and these are well provided for. A real highlight of the site is all the walks leading to it - it is in a very picturesque, tranquil location and we loved walking up to The Tor and then on into Glastonbury - very enjoyable exercise! We would recommend this site to anyone wanting a relaxing self-sufficient stay in Somerset with a few mod-cons, lots of walks and easy on foot access to Glastonbury.

Room Tip: I would definitely recommend a cabin stay - perfect in any weather!

Have just spent a week at this beautiful site. Wardens very helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. The facilities are second to none, very clean and even have private shower/toilet rooms. There is also a licensed shop.
Lovely quiet and peaceful week in a beautiful area. Best campsite we have ever stayed at and will be back soon.

Some sites excel because of their location, others the sizes of their pitches, some because of excellent facilities. This site has it all and more. Staying here it's easy to conclude, refreshingly, that the whole site has been designed with its customers' needs and wants in mind and not from the owners perspective as to how much money can be made from it. We took advantage of an introductory offer of a free day's stay and booked an additional two days on a hardstanding pitch with electric for our motorhome and will certainly go back. The site is divided into discrete areas and we stayed in Top Oaks. The hardstandings there are big and level and separated from neighbouring pitches by well tended lawns and beds planted with shrubs, bushes and trees overlooking a very large grassed area. This made it a pleasure simply to sit and relax in our van with a lovely open outlook; other sites we've stayed on would likely have had that central area devoted to yet more pitches. Many of the pitches on this site are termed super pitches and have water and drainage as well as an electricity supply but they were not included in the introductory offer. Never mind. It meant that we had to use the dedicated motorvan service area. Having struggled on many sites with inadequate or simply plain awkward access to such service areas this one was a pleasure to use being built with space enough to access the drainage area easily and with water and chemical toilet emptying facilities alongside. The shower and toilet block is modern and like all of the site was kept very clean and it was an unexpected pleasure to be able to shower without constantly having to prod a button to maintain the water flow. Free WiFi is available across the site and it really worked with an excellent signal from our pitch. On arrival we were given a welcome brochure and this one really was useful with maps of the site and of Glastonbury showing footpaths and cycle paths and a lot of other handy information as well. Visitors are encouraged to provide feedback and their own ideas on where improvements could be made and I feel that this is genuinely requested and considered and not just requested for show. We were struck by the fact that all members of staff and wardens were happy and helpful and feel that this must come from really enjoying what they do. I could go on and on and mention other attractions like the delicious cakes on sale daily and the provision of a minibus and caravan cleaning services but I won't. If you want to stay on an excellent, adult only site, try out this one.

This is our 2nd visit to Old Oaks and we were not disappointed. Steep walk to Glastonbury Tor but worth it for the sunset. Loads of walks around the site although most will involve a hill at some point, the views are spectacular. Site facilities are top class and includes a well stocked reasonably priced (licensed) shop.....oh and free wifi accessible from your plot which makes a change from having to sit in the laundry room or something! BTW the Museum of Rural life is closed for refurb until 2016

This is second time on this site we have a tent and my only complaint is that once you stop here it spoils you for anywhere else. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. It would however be nice to have grass pitches with electric.
