Read the reviews that describe the many excellent qualities of this campsite. Believe them all and make a booking. If I had to pick one single feature it would be the amazing, attractive, ecofriendly, spacious sanitary block, but that would be unfair to the site's other features. Its only downside is that children are not allowed.

This is the first time we have stayed on an independent site and it was an experience that I think will be very hard to better. First of all they allow you to take 3 well behaved dogs on site where most others restrict you to 2. It was lovely to be able to walk the dogs on site in a dog walk with regularly cut grass, instead of marching through a wilderness. The pitches were huge and very private and the amenities blocks were exceptional in every aspect. The whole site was very well maintained and the peace and tranquility of the area made it a first class relaxing break. The staff were lovely people and so helpful in every way. The lovely fresh home cooked cakes, croissants, pain au chocolat and the Friday delivery of fish and chips to order made our stay even more splendid. We didn't go on any of the trips but the choice was very good, not to mention the well stocked information room with lots of detailed walks for the energetic. One of our party was in a wheelchair and both the new and the older disabled facilities were exceptional. We booked again for later in the year, cancelling our usual club site, as we had such a wonderful time.I would advise people to take the route recommended by the site as the other way is very narrow.

We have just come back from a week at The Old Oaks it is a lovely site so peaceful. It is well laid out and generous pitches plenty of room. The toilet and shower block were excellent like a hotel. The weather wasn't great but we got out and about lots of places to visit and non too far.The site is kept in good order by the hardworking staff and there are plenty of things laid on especially if you do not have a car.

This is an outstanding campsite if you enjoy the sounds of birds singing in the morning to wake you up staff very helpful but not interfering.the cleanliness of the toilet s and shower block is second to none .the site provides a bus service to local towns , fish and chips to order and fresh cakes that are hard to resist.cant wait to visit this wonderful site again.

Staying here for the first time, in our little Eriba caravan. On arrival had a very friendly welcome and soon got booked in, shown to our pitch, and told we could pitch how we liked as long as we stayed on the hard standing. Facilities are superb, really could not be faulted, and everything is kept spotless and so tidy. Very quite site, on our pitch today all we could here was birdsong. The site shop sells all basic necessities and sells some lovely homemade cake which the wife enjoys .....a lot! Also sells freshly baked bread other local produce. Very dog friendly site with a lovely dog walk with a hot doggy wash (shower) very useful for our little pappions. First class cannot praise high enough.
