Berachah is a very calm, spacious and comfortable guest house in a great location. Jan runs it with a lot of integrity, and it is very thoughtfully and unfussily maintained. I came to Glastonbury at first with my family for a weekend break, and we stayed happily at Berachah where it felt like a home from home. This time I came on business as a musician, selling my CD's to shops, and Berachah was a great base for that. Lovely energy about the place, and with a great spiritual history.

Really appreciated the great parking and fantastic location - the Chalice Well Gardens are right next door and the house itself is at the foot of the Tor. The view from the breakfast room over the Somerset Levels is spectacular and it is lovely to be able to have breakfast at your leisure, with the more than plentiful supplies. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended!

This is not a five star hotel but a very charming bed and breakfast with delightful house keeper and welcoming environment. It couldn't be better located, being just at the foot of the Tor and over looking the chalice well gardens.
Guests have use of the large, well stocked kitchen with beautiful views. Room was clean, fresh, the bed was comfortable. Only slight criticisim was the filfthy kettle in our room's private en suite kitchen. Wanted to boil a cup of tea but abandoned the idea when I saw the inside of the kettle. Other wise, a great place to stay.

The Berachah guest house is a relaxed, welcoming and friendly B&B. The rooms have different colour schemes and decorated by the owner's beautiful art work in the form of silk paintings and other items. We enjoyed drawing angel cards which were in the room for each day. The location is perfect for exploring the sights of Glastonbury, the house being literally opposite Chalice Well gardens and the path to the right in front of the house leads up to the Tor. The views from the breakfast room were great too.

Berachah is a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The owner is an artist and her beautiful artwork - silk paintings mainly depicting the fascinating Glastonbury Tor - adorns the walls. The house (60s-style) is just beside the lower path that leads up to the Tor and is built on the site of Occultist Dion Fortune's temple.

We stayed in the cosy and spacious twin-bedded "Green Angel" room (colour is important to me!). Unusual for a guest room, it houses a large collection of green frosted glass. A bit incongruous maybe, but I just happen to love frosted glass. I usually have a problem sleeping in a strange bed, but not here; something to do with the good vibes? The bed was very comfortable too. The view from the window includes the Chalice Well Gardens, and a very tall conifer tree that grows rather close by. It was warm, and there was plenty of lighting in the room.

Breakfast is vegetarian and self-service; there's a hob and microwave, with a well-stocked fridge, (even soy milk available). The choice of cereals was rather boring. Guests share one big dining table, but we actually had the kitchen to ourselves, which was nice. There is a vast array of herbal teas to sample, and the far-reaching view from the kitchen window is rather stunning. Downstairs there is a very comfortable guest lounge.

Talking practicalities, the drive is rather steep but there is one parking place on the narrow lane that doesn't involve negotiating the narrow oblique entrance. There are a few steps up to the front door. Berachah is a good 10 minute walk from the town centre. We were attending the Majma Dance festival, based at St Dunstan's (out on the Wells Rd), and at least 15 minutes walk. So, despite being fit, I'm glad we had the car.
