I can not rate Covenstead highly enough, from the fantastic welcome I received when I arrived, a wonderful nights sleep in a beautiful room on a really comfortable bed. The breakfast which you have to experience to believe (ten star rating). I will be coming back before the end of the year!

Room Tip: They are all wonderful (I checked)

This is a fantastic place to stay in Glastonbury. If you want to fully experience the vibe and culture of this ancient market town, then this is the place to get a bed for the night. The Pagan theme is welcoming and has a hint of the historical (don't let it put you off if you are not a Pagan), it's clean, friendly, quiet and the breakfast is great. It has a great location in the centre of the town as well and is in close range to the pubs and the Abbey.

I have stayed in B&B across Britain (and beyond) but none have made the kind of impact that Covenstead has. If you're a Wiccan, Pagan, Druid or just a fan of esoteric stuff in general you'll love this witchcraft-themed B&B but if you're not, and are just a visitor to Glastonbury looking for somewhere that's not run-of-the-mill, you'll love it too.
The rooms are great and beautifully decorated, the breakfasts superb and owner Adele is a true character - engaging, welcoming and funny in equal measures, with a superb eye for detail and an acute understanding of what turns a great stay into a truly magickal one. What's more, the entire place is packed with enough esoteric curios it could give the Witch Museum in Boscastle a run for its money (and you don't get a Full English brekkie thrown in there!)
Anyway, before we'd left were were booking a return visit (and for longer) in December. And when it comes to B&Bs I can't really think of a better seal of approval than a return visit.

Room Tip: If you're a guy opt for the "Herne's Hideaway" room! We didn't stay in it this...

We were taken to Covenstead by a friend who described it as "THE BEST B&B IN THE WORLD" I thought she was exaggerating but she was right. The high quality, the attention to detail, comfortable plush furnishings fantastic food and friendly welcome are unsurpassed! This website doesn't really have enough stars available to rate Covenstead, a star or so short at least. Not least it's central but peaceful location. Thank you Adele and team for ensuring that we had such a wonderful bank holiday. We'll be back!

Where to start??? Covenstead is a witchcraft and magic-themed B&B in the heart of Glastonbury. That doesn't even begin to describe this wonderful, luxurious, decadent place. The owner, Adele, has filled this lovely old house with a museum-quality collection of oddities, curios, strange and beautiful items. From the bazaars of Istanbul to ye olde curiosity shoppe, every nook and cranny has yet another piece to delight the eye, or stimulate the imagination. Our room was simply wonderful: picture a huge gold four-poster bed draped with silks and old oriental rugs, with black velvet bedding...... set in room decorated with old Chinese furniture and populated with pictures of the dark erotic goddess/woman in many forms. The rooms are massive. There is a large en-suite bathroom with a big shower enclosure and a full size bath.....mmmmm. Breakfasts are cooked perfectly, and to order, with a huge range of choices. There can't be many guesthouses where meals are eaten with a "hand of glory" under a glass dome as a centrepiece. Or if you prefer, you can sit next to the skeletal rams-head. Our hostess was wonderful - nothing was too much trouble, and she is extremely knowledgable and informative about...... well, just about everything. I think I'm running out of superlatives.....and I haven't even mentioned the mural - on the upper stairs and landing is a very impressive work in progress by well-known local artist Yuri Leitch. It's a lovely composition with Herne the Hunter, the goddess, a classical scene.... and more to come. All in all this was quite simply, wonderful and I can highly recommend the Covenstead to any discerning people out there. It is unique in the best possible way.

Just got back from a two night stay at The Covenstead. Incredible! Adele is the most perfect host and the accommodation is glorious. So much more than a B&B - The Covenstead is opposite the Abbey Gardens so a superb outlook. The rooms are amazing, spacious, pristine yet quirky and filled to the brim with wonderful pictures and artefacts. The Temple has a wonderful energy. I am returning soon, and will never stay anywhere else in Glastonbury (and I am a regular visitor). You simply have to try it, it is extraordinary, exceptional and amazing. Thank you Adele xx

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing, spoilt for choice.
