“A welcoming experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2014

We have never stayed in such a place that - it was such a unique experience. Adele and her husband are so welcoming it felt like you were part of the family rather than just guests. The room was really comfy and nothing was too much trouble. There were lovely finishing touches like a botle of water each by the bed as well as kit kats with the tea facilities. The breakfast was amazing and cooked to order - in fact too big so neither of us could finish it! The decor was absolutely amazing, in fact there was so much to look at I am sure we missed half of it. The wall mural is so artistic and it was nice to have a comfy room downstairs to chill out in rather than staying in the room. Adele has hundreds of books for you to browse so you could never be bored there. The view was fantastic of Glastonbury Abbey and there is a car park across the road. The shops are all within walking distance too which is a bonus. Overall it was clean, friendly, unique and cosy and we both came away feeling we had had a wonderful break. Will definitely recommend this to anyone and will be back.

Stayed here for 2 nights, well where do you start. What a place. Never ever seen anything like it. The love and work that has gone into this B&B is incredible. You just don't know where to look next. Had a fantastic time, cant wait to come back. Adele the owner is so nice and makes you feel at home. Just did not want to leave. What made my weekend was Freya (the Samoyed), I just loved her and wanted to take her back home with me. Highly recommended

This is my favorite B&B ever!! Located right across the street from Glastonbury Abbey (and the public parking lot) you can't be any more central to all of the sites in this town. Adele is a fabulous host - serving an amazing classic English breakfast (we couldn't finish it) and ready to offer advice about places to eat and other things to do. We were in the Halloween Honeymoon room and it was worth every penny - I wanted to move in! The bed was so cozy and comfortable and the bathroom was great - my husband could shower while I soaked in the tub (and plenty of hot water). I can't wait to return!

Room Tip: For couples, I recommend the Halloween Honeymoon room - big comfy bed with a view of the Glastonbury...

Last week I was fortunate to stay at the covenstead . Anyone wishing to go to Glastonbury must try to stay at the covenstead !!!. It would be crazy not to. !
Also massive bonus Adele the owner is such a character and so easy to communicate with.
The décor ambience cleanliness is second to none and breakfasts to die for!!!

Have just spend a brilliant couple of days at the glorious Coventead. Our 3rd visit - all of which have been outstanding. As ever whole place was spotlessly clean, breakfast an absolute delight and the lovely Adele went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and spoilt me rotten as it was my birthday. I would have no hesitation in recommending Covenstead, a truly fascinating place and wonderful hospitality which I cannot fault. Thanks Adele x

Just got back from spending 3 days in the Covenstead in Glastonbury. Such a wonderfully unique B&B. Amazing decor, wonderful welcome and service was second to none, host could not do enough for us, superb and absolutely spotlessly clean rooms, scrummy breakfast - really you couldn't get a better B&B, I would rather stay here than any five star hotel. Will definitely be going back, can't recommend it highly enough.

Can't remember the last time I felt so at home away from home and totally spoilt. My pretty room with silver four poster bed was so comfy I nearly missed breakfast! The room was large, clean and spacious with its own seating area and settee in a characterful Georgian house. The sash windows with shutters overlook the Abbey with a distant view to Glastonbury tor. Bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and a bath, everything was pristine. I had access to a comfy shared guest lounge and well equipped kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble and the full cooked breakfast was delicious. I really cannot fault this place in any way and have no hesitation in recommending a stay here to others. I have already booked two return visits. It is located within a few minutes easy walk from the town centre with parking nearby.

Room Tip: All rooms are stunning, some have own ensuite bathroom others have a shared bathroom.
