Excellent little break accommodation and local are brilliant.
The owners are so friendly.
I have never done fly fishing but the owner kindly dropped the tackle down to the lake for me us to use and left it with us after showing us what to do.
Caught a rainbow trout for the first time as well.

“Peace and quiet”
Reviewed 30 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Returned today after having a four night stay in the Clover Lodge at Redlake farm Somerset. Enjoyed our stay immensely even though the weather was not good. The lodge is modern, clean and very comfortable and of course the hot tub is a bonus. If it is a break from the rat race you are after this is the ideal place. Mandy and Barry are the perfect hosts without being intrusive.

“5 STARS :)”
Reviewed 25 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

What a beautiful place! The photos DO NOT do it justice! The lodges are set back in a tranquil location it's so peaceful & quiet! Even the animals had character! We were kept company by Clyde the Peacock who had plenty to say for himself but was super friendly we wanted to bring him home with us!
Both Barry & Mandy make you feel instantly welcome, yet you have complete privacy.
For me the kindness & thoughtfulness was second to none my little sister is getting married & I mentioned we were trying to get a peacock feather they took time out & brought a feather up for my sister before we left! Service with a smile.
Loved it will be back! THANK YOU :)

“Enjoyable weekend break”

Stayed in the Kingfisher Lodge with my partner and friends for a long weekend break. The whole experience was most enjoyable, the lodge itself was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we needed including an iron and ironing board which was most unexpected. The bedrooms are very comfortable, one kingsize double and one twin which can be made into a double. The en-suite shower and toilet were lovely and the shower surprisingly powerful. The hot tub on the verandah was an ideal way to relax although the water temperature could have been a bit hotter but that didn't spoil the enjoyment. Although wi-fi availability is advertised they are currently encountering some problems and so we didn't have wi-fi and there is no mobile signal available but that just allowed us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings albeit with the occasional greeting from the resident peacock Clyde - he does enjoy a bit of popcorn !!. The setting is perfect with lovely views and a wonderful place to unwind. The owners were exceedingly friendly and helpful and we would recommend a visit to anyone. We will all definitely return for another visit.

Drove over 100 miles to spend 3 nights with my girlfriend on king fisher lodge and what a great time we had.
Lovely surroundings, very quite and private . Nothing can beat the view when drinking a hot coffee in the morning on the veranda. Inside everything looked like was new. Very neat and tidy. At this great lodge you get all the comfort that you have in your own home.
We really enjoyed the bubbles in the jacuzzi as well the bottle of wine offered by the owners. We most definitely will go there again!

We stayed at this lodge with my partner and parents, as well as my grandparents within the hotel. We stayed for two nights and through-out the owners were very friendly and welcoming.
The Lodge itself was brand new, very clean and well done. It is a cosy place, warm with a great view and plenty of space to relax both inside and outside. The hot tub is a special feature which me and my family really enjoyed. The lodge is modern with most things you need for self-catered if not more ie: iron, kitchen equipment, towels, tv etc. We even got greeted by a peacock in the mornings. The bed are comfy and the bathrooms are big with a powerful shower. There is also seating outside to enjoy the open surroundings. Personally I enjoyed it in the lodge as it felt more private that offered more than just a hotel room.
My grandparents room look lovely and was spacious too, they enjoyed their stay here.
We all had breakfast which was lovely, and not too early at 9.15.
Me and my family would definitely stay here again when visiting extending family, we all enjoyed it!
