Jackie was friendly and welcoming. Although we were only at Cadgwith House for only one night we enjoyed our visit. The accomodation was bright and clean with comfortable beds. Cadgwith House is ideally situated within a 15 mins walk of Wells centre.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's always good to hear that you enjoyed your stay here and found the rooms comfortable. It was lovely to meet you both and I was glad that a good time was had by all, despite the slightly cool evening!

best wishes
Jackie

We stayed here for two nights. For us this was a perfect location as our son and his famiily live 8 minutes walk away! There was a family Christening and they don't have room for everyone to stay with them. We were very warmly welcomed and everything about Cadgwith House was perfect. Thank you very much. You may well see us again!

Thank you very much indeed for such a lovely review. I know you are both extremely busy running your own business so I'm especially appreciative that you took the time to write a review. It was a real pleasure to have you staying here and it was great to know that the christening was such a success! Should you return to Wells you are more than welcome!

very best wishes

We had a very pleasant welcome when we got there and it just got better as the days rolled on. The rooms were bright and clean and the food at breakfast time was excellent. I could not have wished for a better place to stay. Parking is a slight problem if 3 cars are present but I understand Jackie is aware of this and has something planned.

Room Tip: as a group we used all 3 of the rooms and they all seemed as good as one another

Thank you very much for your lovely review, I'm so pleased you had a good time both here and on your days out. It's always fun to have a jolly group like yours staying especially when you make such efforts to keep in contact. I wish you many more happy adventures together! And should you ever drop by again you'll find the drawer knob is correctly in place!!

Stayed for 1 night en-route to Cornwall. Jackie is a lovely hostess and the room was immaculately clean with a big en-suite bathroom . As has been written previously, the only problem is hot water pressure so I advised Jackie to investigate a pressurised system. Let's hope it works. The location is 10-15 minutes walk to City centre.

Thank you for your review. It's always good to know which facilities guests find pleasing and which may require further attention. Thank you also therefore for the advice and I'm discussing pressure systems with the plumber!!

Just like to say that this Bed and Breakfast is one of the best I have stayed at. We all had a very warm welcome, the rooms were a lovely size, very clean and well presented . Rooms were well equipped with tea, coffee, hairdriers, large built in wardrobe, &TV . Beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast was amazing, pretty much whatever you wanted. We had a very pleasant stay and we certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that fancies a stay in Wells.

Thank you for your generous review. Given that you organised this week end for a birthday celebration it's especially gratifying to know that you found your rooms comfortable and enjoyed the breakfast. The "birthday boy" said he had a good time and it's lovely to know that your stay here contributed to a jolly week end. Once again many thanks.

Reviewed 26 November 2012

A few months ago, we were invited to a wedding in Wells. Being me, I left the booking of our accomodation until the last minute, so expected all the good places to be taken- especially as the town was very booked up. However, we really lucked out.

Jackie was really welcoming, even changing check-in time to fit round the church and the reception (a brief drive away) easily. She gave us taxi numbers, showed us a map of the town so we got our bearings and could find our way back, and made sure that we had everything we needed, then left us to it. In the morning, she cooked us the most amazing breakfast, made with local ingredients, which was very welcome indeed, and we had more of a chat- she is very nice and the reviews on the site speak for themselves on this regard. Jackie immediately puts you at ease, without coming across as fake (as some B&B owners do), nor does she smother her guests by constantly involving herself in your business (as others have). A class act. It really does feel like you are staying with a friend, rather than in a B&B.

The room itself was by far the best one I have had in a B&B. It really is more like a small boutique hotel than a traditional B&B. The bed was so comfortable that my fiance enquired where she bought it! I think if he could have he might have strapped it on the car and taken it home with him! The room and bathroom was well-appointed with everything you could want. The one slight downside was the shower wasn't very powerful, but everything else made up for this- and there is a bath as an alternative.

We didn't get to see much of Wells, but the welcoming atmosphere of the Cadgwith House makes a return trip an inviting prospect. A final note- do try Jackie's homemade marmalade- it is simply incredible.
