We were looking for somewhere to stay overnight after a get-together with friends and managed to get a room at this lovely little B&B. The room was large with plenty of cupboard space and the en-suite was a perfect size. We had a great selection of tea's & coffee's plus nibbles in the room. Breakfast was vast and well cooked and again with a decent selection on offer.
I would love to stay there again.

This is the kind of Bed & Breakfast (B&B) that you always hope you'll find. It is ideally situated within walking distance of Wells Cathedral, shops, pubs (we recommend the Globe) & restaurants. No 26 is in a quiet raised crescent alongside the main road, next to the police station, and so must have the safest parking in Wells. Julie the owner is kind, helpful & knowledgeable on local matters. It is within walking distance of the Bus station. Wells has no railway station, so Bath is the nearest mainline, with a bus from there to Wells, along a very picturesque route. I have been staying in B&Bs all over England for 30 years, and this place is in my top 10. A quiet location & a comfortable bed with good linen ensures a peaceful sleep. The en-suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with delightful views of the Mendip Hills. Breakfast, taken whilst watching sparrows play amongst the flowers in the garden, is just great. As well as the usual fare, there is a bowl of fresh berries (raspberries, loganberries, strawberries & blackberries according to season), and some first class Italian coffee. Then there is the cooked breakfast – Wow! It has quality, taste and Julie's expert cooking could easily rival that in the Swan. There aren't many rooms here, but if you can get in, it really is worth it, and like us I'm sure that you'll return.
