We are not religious and often avoid the ABC places but Wells Cathedral was a beautiful experience. The architecture inside and out is breathtaking; the information centre in the under croft was well worth a visit for the clear and concise explanation of the cathedral history - what a pity they couldn't give it a better name/ title so we knew what was there! The guides and helpers all wear blue sashes so are easy to spot and do a brilliant job of making one welcome. Tea and cake in the cafe rounds off the visit.
