I love this place. I eat here maybe 4 times a year, and it never disappoints. If all vegetarian food could be this interesting, and tasty, then none of us would miss meat. We had a delicious vegetable goulash with a meltingly soft gratin (sweet & ordinary potato, creamy & rich with cheese), followed by a pear & apple crumble, with a generous layer of flapjack-style crumble topping. It's such good value - the portions are generous, the atmosphere is great, the staff are always friendly and helpful. It's an absolutely winning combination.

If you like Delicious, freshly cooked vegetarian food then this is the place for you! I can't rate it highly enough! The staff are all friendly & helpful & the food is mouthwatering! I never know what to chose as everything is so appealing! They also have a wholefood sales section & a Potager shop which sells a wide variety of nice things! An experience not to miss whilst visiting Wells!!

If you go in here between 12 and 2 you can probably do business with anyone of the locals and any famous person visiting the City. The Chef used to cook in a much grander establishment but has opted for a quality of life and a business he can be proud of. I have eaten just about every special and even when I indulge in the desserts which are very yummy indeed, I placate myself with the knowledge that they are all good for me! Local ingredients, homemade food, seating inside and out, friendly service. You always feel bound when you do a review of Tripadvisor to not 'over do it' as users check out the site before spending hard earned cash, I do myself. This is good though if you like well thought out vegetarian food, great desserts and people trying to do their best to make eating their food an enjoyable experience.
