“Next to the Cathedral - don't miss it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

One of the oldest continuously occupied streets in Europe with original buildings. Only a short walk from Wells Cathedral. Worth a brief visit at the very least!

“Historical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

We got up early and walked here on a Sunday morning about 7.40 am, we were the only 2 here and it was lovely. Beautiful houses it was interesting looking at the buildings to see which ones had kept their character and what others had lost, the different types of windows, doorways etc which varied. A must see.

Lovely old cathedral houses in long terraces on either side if a cobbled street, lovely to walk along.

“An awe inspiring site in Wells.”

Here we have an example of wonderful architecture. Only downside is the parked cars. Why cannot they be excluded. Cars spoil the potential for tourist photos.

“beautiful close”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

By walking down this short close of centuries old houses you are transported back in time. It is so beautiful and peaceful as you tread the cobbles walked on by so many feet since the middle ages
