“Excellent stay! Not one to miss !!”

The location of the property was ideal for our stay, it is close to all the main areas we wanted to visit. The barn was exactly as described and all amenities were clean. The view from the door was amazing and we loved having our own garden to sit in to enjoy the sun.
Honor and Chris were lovely and very welcoming and I would definitely recommend to all my friends to go for a visit.

“Charming, romantic and secluded. Lovely surroundings.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We had a wonderful time in Stokewood Barn. The photos really don't do it justice, its the top of a converted Barn, large studio but not small and has everything you need and is very cosy and utterly charming. There are beautiful views from the barn which is on the on the edge of a wood and even has it's own little garden. Between Wells and Cheddar Gorge there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas and more than enough lovely pubs and restaurants. My only moan is that I came back too early.

“Lovely accomodation in a beautiful location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Stokewood Barn is a perfect 2-person getaway; lovely cosy accomodation with every need thought of, in a beautiful location within easy reach of lots of interesting places to visit.
Honor and Chris have thought of everything you might need, and are very helpful in providing recommendations of things to do nearby, walks, pubs etc.
The log burner stove is lovely to snuggle up by in the evenings, and there's a table and chairs on the lawn outside for outdoor eating with amazing views, weather permitting! Plus sheep (and lambs in springtime) in the nearby fields - pretty much the only noise you'll hear in this beautifully peaceful and relaxing place. Would highly recommend - very good value and a lovely place to be.

“Stunning views, Wonderful owners and perfect location.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

The barn is simply spectacular. It immediately felt like home from home. What delighted us was how close all the sites like Chedder gorge and caves, Wookey hole, Wells, Wilkins cider farm, Mendip hills,The Queen vic in Priddy!!, Ebbor gorge, Burrington combe caves. Nothing was more than a 15 min drive away!
We took a private caving experience in Chedder which was magic and Rodney stoke village itself was really friendly. They have a drive by veggie shop with strawbs n cream and the local pub served delicious huge portions! Honor and Chris were extremely attentive when we had questions for local walks etc. They couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome but left us to our own privacy. I wish them all the best because Stokewood barn has real heart. Magic holiday in beautiful Somerset. Thank you so much !!
