“WHERE ARE THE CHIPS!!! THESE WERE NOT CHIPS AND POPCORN!!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

Visited from Swindon for a treat over bank holiday. What can I say? The children’s meal was over cooked-it was not edible. 3 chicken pieces so small and crisp so they couldn’t be eaten. The chips were definitely not chips. They were over cooked wedges with piles of salt on them. We ordered 2 extra portions of chips thinking that they were chips. Again over salted wedges and over cooked. The sandwiches were made up on the wrong breads that we had asked for but left it as we did not want to cause any extra work. The sandwiches were nothing special ( tuna mayo ) where the lemon came into it I don’t know and pork that was so fatty could not be eaten either. What is the idea of popcorn on your sandwich plate? Very quirky and very un-necessary. For £24.30 very expensive and a total waste of money. Did mention this to the staff very politely but not at all interested. Spoilt our day of visiting Wells and the Palace. Would certainly not be there again. There is very little choice and I would not recommend this for young families.

“Popcorn and sandwiches”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

I went for lunch with my daughter a few days ago. We both ordered sandwiches and they arrived on the table with a big pile of popcorn and what looked like 4 pea shoots as an accompaniment. Not impressed!
I do find they have just crammed the tables in and as they are all in a long line there is no privacy from the next door table at all.
I shall be giving the popcorn a miss in future and find somewhere else for lunch.

“Superb café in an outstanding location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2014

I have become a regular as the food is excellent and the customer service outstanding. Set in the most beautiful and peaceful location it is well worth the two minute walk from the marketplace. You will discover a great menu and value for money too. The coffee and delightful service make this my #1 for Wells.

“Nice little cafe, reasonably priced”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014 via mobile

I've had coffee and food here several times, and have always found their food delicious, service pleasant and unintrusive and all very reasonably priced. You've got to remember that this is a cafe on site of an attraction, based on the location alone, you'd expect prices that little bit higher than on the high street, but that's not the case. Nice spot to have your lunch or coffee and cake in beautiful surroundings. Try their scones, just delicious!
