On a recent trip to England we were lucky enough to fall into the hands of the woman who operates this b&b. We had asked a previous host to find us a place in Wells and she came up with Ashford House. We were delighted. It's near the town, convenient to everything we wanted to see and do and we could not have asked for a better/cleaner place to stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good, bed was super and shower was great. We would have stayed longer if she could have accommodated us. And we'll go back.

A really stylish and convenient place to stay in Wells. We had an exceptionally warm welcome from Jayne, 5 star comfort without the associated price tag, great choice for breakfast and plenty of it. Nothing was too much trouble. We were even able to save on the cost of eating out by bringing supper back to enjoy in our suite. First class recommendation from us.

For many years now I have stayed at B&Bs owned and hosted by Jayne Wood. I go to England twice a year. I always make it a point to go to Wells and stay at Ashford House. It's like going home. The accomodations are bright and clean. The food is good. Above all, the welcome is warm, friendly and helpful. Jayne seems to enjoy what she does and goes out of her way to see that I enjoy my stay each time.

Stayed here with my mom and stepdad. It was very clean and the owner was lovely. Not a 10 minute walk from Wells Cathedral, the most beautiful one I have ever seen. Only two issues: the wireless Internet was not working, and the breakfast sprea was small. Besides that, a great choice!

We are Japanese and stayed at this excellent B&B for six days. Ashford house is very clean, very tastefully decorated and in a great location, Jane was very welcoming and a great host.We will happily recommend this place to our Japanese friends who visit the UK.

A well presented spot to stay & close enough to town to walk there at night for dinner!
We liked the modern en-suite room-even if the shower was a little tight for space! We also liked the family dogs-2 friendly labs!
Wondeful full breakfast plate too- yum yum!
Quiet for a good night's rest-just a bit hot during our stay-not usual in UK, I know!

We also used the free hi fi link!!
