This Bed and Breakfast in Wells is truly the best I have stayed at. The two rooms are self contained at the rear of the house. The rooms are large and very well finished. The breakfast is continental and makes for a lovely change. The breakfast is all waiting within the small kitchen area of the room. Jayne is lovely and hits the right balance for a host. Very very pleased and would stay again.

Just got back from seeing family in Wells and staying at Ashford House. We'll definitely be staying there again when we go down. Lovely accommodation and hostess. The two rooms are beautifully done out and very comfortable. I really enjoyed all the touches like plenty of tea and coffee with fresh milk and also some lovely biscuits thrown in. Though I do love a cooked breakfast, the continental breakfast bits and bobs provided were lovely and it's nice to be able to come and go as you please. A great balance between the reasonable cost of a B&B and the freedom of self catering. Thank you Jayne, and you'll most certainly be getting repeat visits from me and my family!

Sorry it's taken so long to write a review! We stayed here a good while ago, and would return for sure if we were visiting wells again! Lovely room, amazing breakfast, and such friendly owners- really no negatives at all! Also, just perfect walking distance into town.

I stayed at Ashford house for four days, whilst on placement in and around Somerset.

I had a warm welcome from Jayne on a Sunday evening. I was shown to my double room which was lovely and cosy.

Everything that was needed in a B and B was all there; a kettle, microwave, mini-fridge, en-suite, and free wifi. The beds were very comfortable and the room was exceptional.

Overall a very pleasant stay. I would recommend to anyone.

This is a fantastic place to stay and would thoroughly recommend it! We stayed in the double room which was beautifully furnished and spacious. After a week of staying in various b&b's around Cornwall and eating out every night, it was lovely to have a fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery and glasses available for a night in. The breakfasts that we had pre-ordered were ready and waiting for us in the fridge along with a jar of cookies, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The breakfast was plentiful and it was lovely to be able to get up and eat it when we liked.

Jayne was a very welcoming host and was on hand to offer any information or advice we needed.

We found this place on trip advisor
doing the usual, we'd left till the last minute to book something
And luckily they had space here
The two rooms [or suites]are seperate from the house.away from the road, so no traffic noise at all
Very clean
the only fault...if you can call it a fault ,would be that [in the rose suite] and you were taller than 6' 6'' your toes might touch the bottom board of the bed but other than that, can't fault it

Room Tip: they've only got the two rooms and i'm guessing they're both the same ..so my advice ..g...

I found Ashford house while googling somewhere to stay overnight in Wells and I am so happy I found this place! The room is sparklingly modern and clean. The beds are so so comfy, we stayed in Poppy. Wells centre is a 10 minute walk away.
Breakfast was absolutely amazing, toast, croissant, cheese meat, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, milk and juice. Tea and coffee was in the room already. Jayne left everything we would need in the mini fridge in the room. There is also a microwave (we ate out though) toaster and kettle.
Wookey Hole is a 10 minute drive away, Glastonbury about 20 minutes.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and would definatley reccomend to anyone to stay here. it was perfect.
