“educational visit”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

A visit with our local pensioners club on a fairly cold morning . We were welcomed in the cafeteria by our guide for the morning and after nice cup of coffee we were off on the grand tour of Lichfield from the middle ages to the present time. Inevitably much of the information is via DVD but there was plenty of artefacts laid out in wonderful displays. The building itself is very well preserved, with original organ, and the alter behind a clear screen which upstairs gives an elevated view of the stained glass window, something you rarely see.

“Welcome for all visitors”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

This is based in St Marys Church which was decommissioned many years ago. As well as reflecting on Lichfields heritage there is also a café/ meeting centre which gives a warm welcome.

“Start your visit to Lichfield here.”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Wonderful introduction to Lichfield and a good place to start before visiting the many other attractions. Very good displays and artefacts, wonderful collection of silverware and a couple of videos. All this and a very nice café and shop too.

“Interesting and informative”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

Lots of see and do - very interesting for all ages - lots of relics and costumes from the siege of Lichfield during the Civil War. Right in the centre of Lichfield on the market square - next to Samuel Johnson's house - you can get discount tickets to both attractions.
