Had a meal on Saturday 5th of July. Lamb chops were good and the meal was well worth the cost. Service was efficient and quick, staff always polite and helpful. We will revisit soon.

Reasonable food served with a nice bit of style, spacious inside, nice décor and country pub feel, good service and decent beers. For a lunchtime get together this was very good, and not too expensive. A standard pub menu is supplemented with a few specials and it felt a sound place to return to.

Great food, a warm welcome and a fresh bowl of water for the dogs. Make sure you book Sat evening and all day Sunday to avoid disappointment. A little off the beaten track but having found it, you will definitely be going back.

We found the Plough quite by accident. Im glad we did. The menu had a good choice of food we settled for the Gammon it was well cooked and presented and best of all great value for money The real ales were very well kept and tasted wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. We shall be returning in the near future but this time we will be taking friends so we can introduce them to this hidden Gem.

After a lovely peaceful towpath walk from Streethay, The Plough was surprisingly quiet - being Father's Day and, having not visited since travelling the cut in 1997 I was surprised at how few cars and people were around. A pint of real ale was quickly and courteously pulled but no invitation as to whether I wished to eat. Maybe, as "Billy NoMates", they didn't want a "single". So a packet of Kettle chips and a pint was all that would suffice. Is this establishment connected to The Anchor at Streethay for it has a similar feel and, sadly, it looks as though it may have the same fate awaiting it?

Good morning, we thank you for your feedback as it is always important for us to hear of our customers experiences. We find that everyone has different ideas and expectations of how their needs should be met. With this in mind, we have strict guidelines on how our staff should behave and how to manage the customer experience. We are finding more and more that customers are using the Plough simply for a good pint and not always for food. With this in mind, we encourage a relaxed atmosphere, welcoming this type of customer. If a customer requests food then we will happily do our very best to accommodate them if they have not booked with us, be it a single diner or a table of eight. We appreciate your positive comments about our staff being swift and courteous and feel that your requests were adequately met and that your review rating was unfair based on what you had asked for. Please feel free to call in again when you are next passing to sample our home cooked food.
