“Very welcoming”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

My wife and I stayed at Woodshoot for two nights 9&10 May 2014, the welcome from Linda was very friendly and warm, the room was clean and warm , well up to the 4 stars, the king size bed was extra comfy, shower room nice and clean.( plenty of tea, coffee and nice biscuits)
The breakfast was the best we have had any where.
We will stay here again and would highly recommend this B&B

Recently stayed for two nights. Very warm and friendly welcome from Richard and Linda. Our room had everything you could want, including a superbly comfortable bed. The breakfast could not have been bettered. Will definitely be staying again and would recommend this B&B wholeheartedly.

Nestled in the village of Kings Bromley, this B&B is close to both Lichfield and The National Memorial Arboretum. Richard and Linda were perfect hosts, they gave us a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The self contained en-suite room was comfortable and had everything you'd possibly need. It was stocked with a wide range of refreshments. Breakfast was nothing less than 5*. The gorgeous back garden views across the local countryside were both peaceful and relaxing.

We really appreciate your generous comments and thank you for taking the time to share them. If we succeeded in making you comfortable, we are very happy. The National Memorial Arboretum is a MUST place to visit for quiet reflection and to consider the sacrifices of others. A very moving place.

I stayed at Woodshoot last night and can thoroughly recommend the experience. Richard and Linda were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. My room was cosy and comfortable as well as being beautifully decorated. I was sorry to be staying for only one night.
Kings Bromley is a sweet little village and the pub staff were also friendly. Do beware, if you stay Sunday night that they stop serving food at 5pm.

Thank you for your lovely review Sarah and we really appreciate you taking the time to write it. We're sorry you couldn't stay longer as well but there is always another time. Staffordshire is often thought of as 'the black country' but we have have masses of lovely countryside and interesting places to visit and as you said, the pub is great too.

Stayed for one night as part of a business trip, I was welcomed upon arrival by Linda and impressed with the immediate first name terms that was used, this made me feel immediately comfortable.

The room was in a seperate outbuilding, usually I am quite conscious of security which can effect my sleep quality but I felt completely secure in spite of the detachment from the main building. Whilst the room was slightly smaller than I am used to the decor was very homely and as modern as you would find in most 'Village' style hotels, there was a flatscreen TV, clean bathroom and many of the little features I appreciate bottle of water, plug near the bed for phone etc.

The breakfast the following morning was perfect, as with others I would highly recommend the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, due to time constraints I was not able to experience much else however there was cereal, fruit and toast available in the room.

The signage to the B&B is well displayed from the main road and the discount at the local pub was honoured.

My only improvements would be in relation to perhaps creating a "snug" area for the evenings to promote communal interaction (Man Utd was on that evening) as there is very little in the Kings Bromley area.

Overall the B&B was exceptional value for money and should I be in the area again I would stay again.

Room Tip: If walking from the B&B to the centre then please remember your torch (provided by the hotel) as...

First impressions count and they dont get better than this. Greeted at the door, first name terms and with the offer of a cuppa after our trip. The rooms were spotless , very comfortable with lots of extras as standard. We were asked when WE would like breakfast not the other way round and the choice at the table was fantastic. Richard and Linda made you feel at home and were easy to talk to. The price is definitely good vfm and we will be returning

On arrival you were greeted by Richard & Linda and made to feel so welcome and that nothing was to much trouble for them to ensure you had a wonderful stay.
The location is so quiet and peaceful, the breakfast was excellent nice choice on the menu so catering for everyone,s needs.
Also I had just been working at the NEC all day so was told by Richard & Linda if I wanted something to eat to try the local pub only half a mile away + also told would get 10% discount by mentioning staying at the woodshoots BB this I did and can highly recomend the food at the pub and also highest standard of service from the staff in the pub.
I highly recomend the woodshhots BB to anyone and I will certainly be staying again when next on business in the area.

Room Tip: It is such a quiet location that I think you will not have a problem with any room./
