I spent two nights at the Premier Inn Litchfield with my family (2 adults, 2 children), as we were attending a wedding nearby, and the Inn was the closest, most convenient location for us.

I didn't really have high expectations, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The 3 ladies on reception were all excellent at their job: warm and friendly welcome and very helpful, too! They provided iron and ironing board on request, and printed out directions back to East Midlands airport for me.

The room was as expected: simply furnished, but spacious bedroom and compact bathroom.
All very clean.

After reading reviews about the pub next door, I was dreading breakfast, which I'd prebooked. But again, a pleasant surprise. Maybe they've read the reviews, because really I couldn't fault it, particularly for the price we'd paid - and children's breakfast was free of charge. There was a buffet with good choice of cereal, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, bread and croissants. Oh - just remembered one thing: coffee was dreadful, but a good choice of teas (Twinings). And hot breakfast was cooked to order: very good!

Note: this Premier Inn is actually located a short drive from the centre of Litchfield, near Fradley, next to the busy A38. Despite this, there was little noise from the road - and I'm a very light sleeper.

If you're looking for budget accommodation in the area, I recommend this Inn.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, request a quiet room. We had room 20 which was at the rear of the bu...

Loved it, couldnt of been better, although i wouldnt recommend the pub next door, had to wait an hour for our food and it wasnt even cooked properly when it got to us. The premier inn is brilliant though would definately stay again, staff were very helpful, friendly and made you feel welcome.

Spent 3 nights at the hotel and found it a very friendly staff were very helpful all the time we stayed there.
The food was of a high standard each time we ate and reasonable price's.
There was ample parking and found out that it was being patrolled at night by staff.

This is a very friendly Premier Inn, the staff showed genuine interest and advised us on places to visit. There is not much road noise as it is behind the pub. Our son was on the pull out bed which wasn't very comfy (he could feel all the springs) but the staff padded it with a duvet and even offered to move us to another room. We has tea in the pub next door - they has run out of draught beer and tea was a 50 minute wait. Breakfast was a laugh - no milk for cereal, no fresh fruit salad, no hash browns and no eggs. Continental breakfast was toast and jam - we didn't pay! The poor girls serving were very apologetic but clearly this is bad management. The pub has nothing to do with Premier Inn and there are plenty of other places to eat in Lichfield.

We have now stayed here for the past 4 years. All our visits have been for a veterans weekend at the National Memorial Arboretum. The staff are very helpfull and friendly. The food next door is great value for money (2 for £10) and the Premier eat all you can breakfast is fantastic. The hotel is next to a busy main road but separated by a grass verge and a double size road, the restaurant is closes to the road but you don't hear the traffic at all. The gardens are well kept and there are plenty of tables and seats to sit outside for your meals or drinks.

Room Tip: For the past two years we have stayed in the disabled rooms, the room layout is very good and plenty...

We have stayed here twice now, both stays were after visiting Drayton Manor Theme Park. Although the hotel is on a busy road, you don't hear any road noise. Room as clean, nothing to fault, restaurant next door was handy, although when it is busy they is obviously a wait for your food, and a very hungry 4 year old! Wouldn't hestitate to stay here again. Also an indoor play centre for the children in the pub, but never used it.
