The Chase is on my doorstep, so I visit almost every day. It is over 100 Square Miles ,so plenty to see and do! The best part is coming across the deer that roam freely on the Chase, alsoFoxes and lots of Rabbits.......apparently there are also plent of Adders, snakes ! But in 10 years I have never seen one! Dont miss the German Cemetary and the Katyn memorial, dedicated to the 30,000 Polish people slaughtered by Stalin....both off the same road that goes from the crossroads on Pye Green Road to Stafford. A visit toi cannock Chase Museum and tourist centre is also worth a visit, where you can sit down and have a nice Tea!

Beautiful at all times of the year....and free! There are very good cycling tracks, especially for those who want an adrenalin rush. Chase Trekking Centre offer amazing one or two hour horse treks across this beautiful landscape. Often you will spot deer here and hear them during the rutting season in the Autumn.

Cannock Chase is close to my home, and is a pleasure to visit at any time of the year.If you like walking there is plenty of scope, plenty of wildlife, deeer very plentiful especially around the brocton area.Expect to see and hear woodpeckers, green and greater spotted.Heather in abundance in the Autumn.Great views from near the glacier boulder.Enjoy your visit when you come.

This peaceful park in the middle of the Chase is a timely reminder that both sides in both World War had men dying well after both conflicts were over. The 2613 German soldiers who were prisoners of war and in captivity and in hospitals in this area now have a place in our soil. To have combatants side by side is most unusual. A place well worth visiting.
