we stayed overnight here prior to dropping our teenagers at Alton Towers the next day. arrived late on sunday night and although the wrong room had been prepared, Bill had it in hand and whilst our room was being sorted we sat in the lovely garden with a nice Cappucino and some biscuits. there was an orphaned calf in the garden and some birds etc to look at. The "Lemon" room was very spacious for the four of us...2 large double beds, a sofa, TV and even a trouser press. also a space heater and a fan to cope with either the hot or cold weather. Bathroom was very big too. the furniture was solid and obviously almost antique but very nice indeed.
the breakfast was fantastic.. a vaste array of cereals and the "full English" with all items (inc bacon, sausages and Black Pudding) from a local source. the farm next door was a bit dissappointing to my wife and I as, after dropping the girls at Alton Towers, we returned to spend the day there but wasnt much there for adults really. the shops were great and food in the farm shop excellent (ice cream especially). more suited to young families with kids that want to use the play barn.

We felt very welcome in Eunice and Bills home. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. Lovely home made sausages. It was nice to be seated around a large table where you could meet other guests. Awaking to the sound of the cockerels was a pleasant change from seagulls! As part of our deal we had a manipulation massage which dealt with many issues we had and I would recommend Eunice to anyone who wants to deal with long term painful conditions. She's a marvel. The craft centre etc next door was lovely to look round and great if you have children. We definitely hope to return and see Eunice and Bill in the future. If you're on holiday try to visit Trentham Park Estate. A lovely day out.

We took a group of elderly people for lunch at Amerton Farm on a lovely June day. The food was excellent and the staff could not have be more kind or attentive.
This is a great place to visit for young and old.
Interesting gift and food shops and activities for children.

Had a really nice time at Amerton Farm. The room was very spacious (The lavender room) but it was well furnished and clean, good shower and well supplied. (having a dvd player was great!) The craft centre next to the B&B was great, the pottery store was good fun and the guy running it was really lovely and friendly, gave us advice on where to shop, eat and even drew us a map :) the shop was awesome too, i wanted everything in it. unfortunately, our hosts weren't the most helpful. On arrival we were rushed into our room and told breakfast was between 7am -9am and that was it. We were not told any information on where breakfast was, wifi codes, jacuzzi, local shops or pubs, or the free massage that was included in the price we had payed through dealmonster (which we did not have). Luckily there was a handbook in the room that had some numbers and details of local attractions. We didn't really see our hosts any time after we were checked in to ask them about anything. Over all we had a lovely time
we just felt like more of a burden to our hosts than a guest :(

Room Tip: The lavender room was lovely but has a glowing light out side the window and a phone that rings occa...

We came here for 2 nights B&B and it was very good. Bill, Eunice and the rest of the Amerton family were all very welcoming of us into their home. Nothing was too much trouble and the complementary massage left us feeling refreshed. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice.

This is an old farmhouse so is unlikely to be in pristine condition. It wasn't. The furnishings in the bedrooms are very old and tired. A good clean everywhere would greatly improve things. A filthy and stained carpet in the bedroom is just not acceptable.

Other reviewers have mentioned the breakfast, I agree with them, it was very good. Unfortunately it does not compensate for a pretty disappointing experience.
