Have visited this beautifully restored bar/restaurant on a number of occasions since it re-opened last November. The service is excellent, staff very friendly, menu well priced and appetising. There is great & busy atmosphere in the place with log fires, and relaxed seating. A really fantastic restaurant, well worth a visit.

Weston Hall Stafford, not to be confused with Weston Park, is an Elizabethan Manor House which has been newly restored and re-opened under new management. The building is worth a visit just for itself and gardens though sadly the day I attended there had been heavy snow so were not viewable. The building was as warm as the greeting from the staff. My starter of salmon was perfectly cooked and presented. My main course of Chicken Wellington was accompanied by a most delightful sauce. My only negative comment would be that I personaly prefer my vegetables more crunchy. Since I was in a party of 80+ and there was another party of 40 upstairs the Chef's and kitchen staff are to be congratulated on the very high quality of the meals provided. To achieve what they did for that number takes a lot of hard work and considerable skill.

The only thing that stopped me giving them a very well earned 5 star was that the steps to the door had not been swept and gritted and as I said there had been considerble snow. Considering the standard of every thing else this was a most surprising and dangerous omission.

Overall the standard was excellent particulary as they have only just reopened and I look forward to visiting again.
