“Very nice little hotel!”

This was the first time we stayed in a premier inn, we had four children with us for a trip to alton towers, both rooms we had were fantasic, clean, comfy beds, friendly service. We had breakfast at the hotel next door which was great value and a nice cosy pub. As we had lots of fussy eaters so had dinner at the pub over the road, adjoining another premier inn as it had slightly more choice of food the kids prefered, burgers, fish and chips etc. we have already booked to go back later this year.

Stayed here one night in March, stopping off from the M6 after a massive delay southwards. A warm welcome, very comfortable clean room and a good nights sleep more than made up for this. Highly recommended. Had a very good dinner at the Shire Horse next door, recommended by the receptionist, and an excellent breakfast the next morning. A perfect overnight stay.

This hotel provides excellence in all areas, spotlessly clean modern and such a comfortable bed it was a lovely experience. We have paid to stay in ho tels such as the Hilton and this was much much better and half the price fantastic value for money we will definately use premier Inns again. The staff should be mentioned for there proffesional and friendly approach they were lovely .

We had an excellent nights sleep fantastic meal and well looked after by very friendly staff, even our 13 year old daughter was impressed with the shower and bathroom....would highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay if visiting Alton Towers as we did

Stayed here easter bank holiday due to price £29 and only 30-40 mins away from Alton Towers. Good size family room and comfy beds with extra pillows unfortunately sleep ruined by occupants above us that were like a herd of elephants late at night and early in the morning, might be worth requesting a room on the 2nd floor so no-one above you. Premier Inn do offer your money back if you dont get a good nights sleep but in too much of a rush to complain and not hotels fault really. Very friendly check in staff, free easter eggs being given to younger children on check out which was a nice touch. Restaurant next door,we used the Brewers Fayre across the road but had the breakfast here which was nice, usual bacon, eggs, cereal, croissants and the annoying toaster that takes ages to brown or you burn it. I do prefer staying in Holiday Inns if you can get a good deal as i like to use the complimentary fitness centre and quality of rooms/breakfast much better but for £29 you cant go wrong, wouldn't pay anymore to stay at a Premier Inn.

Room Tip: room on 2nd floor incase you get noisy occupants above like we did

Previous stay at a Premier lodge had impressed us so we booked in advance as an overnight stopover on the way to Scotland. The lodge was easy to find however remember there are two (Spitfire & Hurricane) and they are reasonably close together so make sure you park at the right one! Check in was straight forward with friendly staff, rooms were easily accessed, clean and tidy - certainly no complaints. Shire Horse pub was quite busy when we arrived however we noted a chinese buffet (Golden Orient) as we drove in so went there for a meal, place was very busy (normally a good sign) so had a ten minute wait for a table. The buffet (£15 a head) )was kept well replenished, piping hot and a reasonably large choice however desserts were a bit of a let down! Beds were comfortable and had a good nights sleep - all in all a pleasant overnight stop at a very reasonable cost with options to eat and no complaints.
