This was the first location used during our annual week away from home, it also gave us a base to work from in visiting the NationalMemorial Arboretum. The modern status of the Hotel is just what we wanted. Home from Home.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor

Handy for the M6 motorway with a large car park, staff were pleasant and efficient, restaurant was good and prices were reasonable, Wifi was easy to use and fast although I would not argue about paying £3 for 24 hours I find a lot of Hotels are now including free Wifi in with your stay, Wifi is a neccessity for me. No complaints and would stay again.

Friendly welcoming staff, excellent room size and spotless. nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Excellent location for the M6 motorway. Adjacent restaurant does amazing breakfasts and themed nights for dinner. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Ground floor are easier to access if you have lots of luggage.

excellent location for a stopover, clean room, comfy bed, good restraunt next door, staff very polite and friendly, only downside was bit of noise in night from above us, as we was ground floor
. stayed at alot of premier inns up n down the counrty, and i no they all basically the same but the restraunt, food and service and friendlyness of staff was the best we have had

Room Tip: ask for top floor, some noise from above us

I have visited the area for work recently I stayed at the Premier Inn Spitfire for a few nights. Greeted by Trevor on reception, who was friendly and most helpful. Had a slight problem with my room in that the exterior window locks were broken and I was concerned about security. Trevor was happy to fetch the tool box to see if he could fix it. When that proved a little much he changed my room. I appreciated the quick attention and response. He was very apologetic.

The room was what you'd expect of a Premier - neat tidy, clean & leaning to purple on the decor side!. The couch in the room was surprisingly comfy. This is a commuter hotel though - so is about 15 minute drive into Stone or the same into Staffordshire - so not ideal for a quick walk into town. That said there is a restaurant next door (affiliated with the Premier Inn) and one around the corner plus a chinese buffet (which has a very cool chocolate fountain if you like that kind of stuff. Overall found it reliable, met my needs & appreciated the staff were always very friendly.
Thanks.

Room Tip: All the rooms are triple glazed (apparently done recently) so I suspect they are all about the same.

We booked family room at premier in the afternoon as we were travelling up the country. We'd seen the adverts and can say were very impressed when we arrived, especially as it was late at night. Room was comfortable, airy and clean. Shower hot. Hairdryer in good working order.

OK, so maybe I’m cheating a bit because the thing I remember most about the hotel was the meal I had in the adjoining “Brewer’s Fayre” but it was a very tasty pie: loads of meat and gravy with chips and veg, all for less than £8. Washed down with a bottle of Lindeman’s Shiraz for £11.50 (shared between two, in case you were concerned!) it represented great value.

The service was great too. I was part of a wedding party and there were 25-or-so of us – including several kids. It must have been like herding kittens trying to take our orders, deliver the food and then sort out the bill which was split (unevenly) about 10 ways. The waiter, Simon, did a great job and was good-humoured throughout.

To say the pie was the thing I remember most is a bit unfair to the hotel itself but, as a Premier Inn, I suspected it’d be of decent quality and it was. At £49.50 per night, the price was good. The hotel is located around a mile from Junction 14 on the M6. All the staff we encountered were very friendly (with unprompted "Good Mornings" and "Hello's" from anyone we bumped into); the room was spotlessly clean; the facilities were in good condition – if a little dated (e.g. old-style box tv); and the bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast was buffet–style and, at £8.25 per person, was not cheap but consisted of a pretty good choice of hot and cold food. The coffee was tasty! There’s no discount for pre-booking the breakfast which surprises me a little as you’d have thought it’d help with their planning, anyway....

So, a good quality hotel, which – according to others in our group – catered well for families but which also suited us as a couple. Definitely recommended if you’re in the Stafford area or heading up or down the M6 and need a place to break the journey.
