We arrived on a bleak, chilly day to be very warmly welcomed by Aaron and Anna, our hosts. The Diamond Lodge lived up to its name. Cosy, very well appointed, spacious, beautifully decorated and enjoying a charming view over the old courtyard. On the next day the sun came out and allowed us to wander around the historic site set in the peace of the Staffordshire countryside. The church, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, is particularly lovely. The whole area has retained a real sense of the fascinating history of Ingestre and the occupants over the years.
The owners have plans to further extend the facilities and we certainly look forward to visiting again in the summer.

We had a party at the hall nearby, the Lodges were used guests and I stayed in Diamond, nice comfy bed, good bathroom, didn't really use the kitchen but it looked nice. Great to see the horses in the morning. Want to go back and spend more time....
