“New, clean and excellent location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2012

Have stayed here twice now.

Hotel is fairly new so the rooms & bar area are well maintained and clean.

The Trentham Gardens location is excellent, plenty to do and gardens/Monkey Forrest to look around.

A taxi into Hanley/Stoke centre/Newcastle Under Lyme is around a tenner.

My husband and I have just spent our anniversary weekend at this hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable and we got fantastic service from very friendly staff. Breakfasts were really good. Well cooked and piping hot with good variety of both cooked and continental selection. The hotel is well located with the shopping village and entrance to Trentham Gardens only about one minute walk away. There is plenty of parking space. There are plenty of eating places during the day in the shopping village and in the evening there is Frankie and Benny's and a lovely restaurant called David's, both only about one minute walk away. Sadly, the room we had was close to the very busy roundabout and watching a wagon train of Eddie Stobart and other HGVs racing past at 3 am is not much fun. We were also above the kitchen and the bins were emptied at 4.30 this morning. See my tip for getting a better room. Very good value for money. You have to pay for admission to Trentham Gardens then you can walk to Monkey Forest (again admission fees apply) then walk back again through the gardens. Lovely.

Room Tip: Don't get room 101 or any room at the end of the hotel where the roundabout is. Ask for a room...

We checked in for a one night stay at the Trentham Gardens Premier Inn on 1 March. The hotel is located in a more salubrious part of Stoke and we enjoyed this first visit to the area and, indeed, to any Premier Inn. We were impressed by the friendly greeting at reception, the helpful staff and the overall cleanliness of the place. The room was large and nicely climate controlled. Another plus was the cooked breakfast for £7.95 and free WIFI for 30 minutes. On the doorstep is the Trentham Shopping Village, comprising log cabins with specialist stores and the Trentham Garden Estate, so a perfect location for a break.

Room Tip: Although there were just two of us, we had a family room (304) which was very spacious. i guess it...

I was very pleased with this hotel when I stayed. Everything worked. The Taybarns next door is probably not the best place for business people but it served a purpose and unlimited portions of choc pud sorted me out.

Service was good. There were no sockets by the bed

I was also a little bemused that the PAT testing stickers were out of date. The receptionists stated that the company doing it had forgotten their stickers. A bit slap dash to be honest.

The hotel is situated within easy reach of the centre of Stoke on Trent and has an easy approach from the A34 roundabout.
The welcome was warm and despite being an early arrival the pre-booked room was ready for me, clean, tidy and warm, as you would expect from from this chain.
One minor consideration is that given the opportunity a room at the front of the building would be quieter, even with the nearby Frankie and Bennie's adjacent.
In all a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for one at the front of the building as the ones in the rear back in to the A34 dual carriageway...

This is the best Premier Inn we have ever stayed at. The staff were bright and cheerful, very helpful and professional.

As the hotel appears to have no way contacting them directly I have resorted to using Trip Advisor.

Stayed on 22 Feb the usual great room - clean, good size and generally welcoming & friendly staff.

The menu is fairly unimaginative with no local ingredients - just the same old massed produced rubbish. I was served by a pretty unfriendly member of staff. They were part of a three person team on duty and while the other two members of staff did their best this third person was a waste of space and couldn't have done more to make we unwelcome. It's a s though I was staying for their benefit.

Come on Premier Inn give staff training and management to help them excel.

Room Tip: The noise isn't really an issue, although the hotel do make a point of making you aware of it.
