“Lovely park, very well kept”

Longton park is a lovely place to spend time. The play park is very good for young and older children. There is also plenty of green open space for kicking a ball around and lots of wide smooth paths for bikes and scooters. The ice cream van is usually parked up so you can get cold drinks and ice creams on a warm day. The only down side is the toilets are closed because the roof is dangerous apparently so make sure your kids go before they leave home!!

This park is very well kept. As it is used by families so nothing is misused. The squirrels are in abundance and can be fed by hand. The geese and ducks can be seen. A nice afternoon out.

I have visited this park for most of my life. It is well kept and well used, although the recent removal of the resident park keeper is a concern as if like me, a few years ago,you lose your keys in the snow, he was on hand to help! The facilities are excellent, with the children's play area a firm favourite with my young niece and nephew. The many activities which are held in the park throughout the year really do keep the park alive and in great demand. This little gem should be visited by people to see how a park can be kept in use for the local people and not just turned into a no-go area as some in other parts of Stoke on Trent have become, oh, yes and it's free!

we take our little girl most weeks, as its not far from us, and she loves feeding the squirrels thier nuts, and they come quite close to her, which is a bonus for children.
