“Great educational day”

Staff were really enthusiastic and had so much to offer. The shop and facilities are small but the staff and experience really made up for it.

“try + go on one of the venue's 'open days'”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2013

Probably the oldest building in Stoke-on-Trent, tourists and locals alike can see what it truly was like to live in the Middle Ages. A cut-out in the wall shows what a 'wattle and daub' wall looked like and how flimsy and fragile those walls were despite the basic timber structure of the building being altogether more sturdy. try and go one of the 'open days' when staff dress up in period costume and everything is nicely explained.

“Worth a Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2013

This black/white hall is well worth a visit, the building is in great condition for its age, and makes a wonderful subject for artists/photographers etc. Not a great deal to do here, as its not that big or very commercialised really, but you could add this onto a list of 'places to visit' when you have not got a lot of time to spare.

“Interesting Historic Hall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2012

Good for an outing with children or even adults who're interested in a small piece of history. Its not far from the centre of the city and yet has an unspoiled charm and plenty of interesting items to look at.
