I stayed here with my boyfriend as we had 2 days booked at Alton Towers. We paid £35 so really was not expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised. Check in and check out were quick and easy. We stayed in room 101, spacious and very comfy bed our only complaint was that the shower temperature was a bit iffy. Breakfast was good, included in the price and great variety. Would definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel was great. Stayed here two days in may. Reason for staying was for Alton towers, 20mins drive from hotel to Alton towers which was fab. The room was clean, spacious and felt fresh. 32inch Tv and room to hang clothes. The location was nice just a 2min walk to harvesters. Staff were friendly and happy, recommend

Spent 2 nights here with my husband and 14 and 11 year old sons in a family room. Boys not happy that they had to share a fold down 3/4 sofa bed ( which made lots of noise every time one of them turned over). 2 single chair beds would have been better especially for older children.
Hotel nice and quiet, breakfast was good however not much choice for hot food. Right next door is a Harvester pub so that was handy for evening meal.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
OK for a 2 night base to go to Alton Towers from

I needed to stay recently , unexpectedly, as my father was taken seriously ill and transferred to a hospital in the area.

My stay extended to 3 weeks with a short break in between .

I can not praise the front of house/ reception staff at the hotel highly enough . They were friendly, compassionate and caring especially since I was at times quite distressed . They went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, well organised and ran like a well oiled machine . Breakfast service - buffet- was kept well stocked even when the hotel had busy periods .

Thank you - the staff at this hotel are really a credit to the industry .

Not the easiest of hotels to find ( maybe that was me !) . Can highly recommend the pizza at 2am !!!!

Room Tip: rooms at front of hotel are quieter - view over car park

I stayed here overnight on business arriving at 11.30pm and leaving the following morning. There was little to experience of the hotel in that time, other than to say that it is remarkably similar to other hotels in the HI Express brand, but then generally you know what you are going to get because that is the way they are configured.

Reception was helpful and the rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was the usual HI Express breakfast.

The location for me was convenient given my travels, although it did not appear to be an area to stroll around, other than to the adjacent pub/restaurant.

Myself and my partner booked this hotel for 2 nights to visit Alton Towers. It was a great stay, just how we like it. The staff were friendly and were there if you needed help but if you didn't you were left to it which is great because one thing I hate is nagging staff. The room was comfortable and had everything that was needed.
Breakfast was continental with a small selection of hot food(sausages, scrambled egg and beans). Yet again we were left to help ourselves to a table and to the buffet which is just how we like it,nobody needs to be fussed over in the mornings.
Checking in and out was quick and simple.
Overall I was very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay again.
