Best Western Plus Stoke-On-Trent Moat House
Ranked #5 of 12 Hotels in Stoke-on-Trent

Well the title says all! This budget hotel is very basic with old rundown bathrooms, cheap wooden beds and dirty old carpet. Unfortunately thats not all; the food was expensive for what it was, the diner was basic and simple except for the cod and chips which was amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming which is a real plus if you are thinking of staying! There is a spa and swimming pool and a beautiful garden which is open to the public. Therefore I would recommend for a short stay.

The hotel itself was ok. Rooms were of a decent standard, and were clean.

The food however was very poor. It is not much better than a microwave meal.

The changing rooms are also very cold. There is no direct access from changing room to pool, you have to walk through the leisure club reception.

We stayed here during my daughters hen party, overnight. The staff were lovely, the rooms were more than adequate. The pool and hot tub were lovely. The restaurant was great, delicious food and plenty of choice. Our group was a mixture of all ages and we were made very welcome by all the staff, they couldn't have been nice or more helpful. Breakfast is well worth booking!!

Stayed here for a trip to alton towers which is about 40 mins away! Clean enough.
No towels left at the pool, had to use our own from our room. Changing rooms were freezing!
Food is overpriced and very average. Possibly micro meals!
Don't expect too much from your stay for the prices.

We returned here following a great time last year and weren't disappointed. We used the hotel as a base for our two days at Alton Towers which is only 30 minutes away. Our room was one of the suites which is perfect for us and our four children. The hotel staff were lovely, plenty of choice for breakfast and we love the leisure facilities which was a welcome break from all the walking and rides before we came home. We will definitely be returning next year. Thanks for another lovely time.
