Booked last minute and got a room for £25, friendly staff and decent facilities, 24 hour reception late bar good available, located on an industrial estate this is probably best for the business traveller. I really don't get the poor reviews, yes it's not a posh hotel but it's always well priced and doesn't pretend to be anything other than a budget hotel, try getting a travelodge on a same day booking for less than £50, will definitely stay again

Poor location substandard service. Very low grade surroundings. Water stained walls. Torn upholstery. Ding meals that are not even presented well. An exceptional placen only because of how bad it is. Dont waste your money.

The hotel was fine, staff were lovely , and don't claim to be anything but a budget stay.
Rooms were warm , bedding was clean, cant understand all the moaning , you pay budget money , you get budget ! you want the Ritz then pay the Ritz price ! Would defiantly stay there again.

We looked at previous reviews of this hotel and were worried. However we were greeted with friendly, cheerful staff and a nice little room, that was warm, clean and tidy. Everything was a bit dated, but for the price we paid we were certainly getting value for money.

Room Tip: Really good position if you're going to the Britannia Stadium.

Stayed here before going to alton towers. When we went to get keys the receptionist just handed the keys an told us where our room was. No info on the brekfast etc!! Got to the room an the hot water was HOT and cold water was very warm!! The room was clean an tidy but the worse bed ive ever slept on!! Got up with back ache next morning!! The walls are like paper thin you could hear the people next door full conversation that went on until early hours plus when the pub closed you heard all the drunk ones screaming an shouting getting back to their rooms. Id say i had about 4 hrs sleep the whole night!!! DEFO WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN!!!!!

We stayed with our two children the night before going to alton towers. We booked online and paid 55 for family room with 4 breakfasts. Best thing about this place is the staff, they were all very helpful and friendly. Room was ok, but bathroom was dirty. Floor, doors and woodwork were very tired looking but the main bedroom was well equipped and seemed a little cleaner. Double bed was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs in the mattress. Breakfast was not good either, terrible presentation, not much better tasting and no fruit juice for kids. Would not stay again I'm afraid.
