My husband and I had a great evening on 10th April visiting the Regent Theatre to see Susan Boyle. What a great show and Susan was wonderful as we expected her to be.

My husband is a wheelchair user and access to the theatre is easy, though the second lift to get up to the circle was very small and as there were quite a few people with disabilities needing to use it, there was a bit of a queue. I'd allow plenty of time before the start of the show if you need to use the lifts. The staff supervising the first lift were extremely polite and helpful.

I'd also advise people to allow plenty of time to get parked in the area too. We allowed an hour but we wished we'd allowed a little more to find a space and get to the theatre.

This is an ideal venue for our area. They stage great shows and the theatre is easy access for us living in the Stoke on Trent area or close by. 'Let it Be' was just fantastic. Everything you would expect from a West End show . I enjoyed escaping back to the 1960s for those 2 hours. We were at the far end of row R so did not experience the lights much. My 10 year old granddaughter was thrilled with the show as she has been the many times she has attended the theatre. We are now looking forward to Fame,Solid Silver 60s, 60s Gold, Sensational 60s The Manfreds, The Bootleg Beatles and Jersey Boys.Thank you to all at The Regent and Victoria Hall you are all pleasant and helpful even if the drinks are expensive as in alot of places.
