a lovely gentle journey along some beautiful countryside, pulled by some wonderful little Tank Engines. Interesting to learn about the Colliery, can't wait to visit again

Had attended Bagnalls Re-Union on 6.4.13 at Foxfield railways. Went all the way from India just to attend the event & to meet all the old friends during my stay in England from 1956-61. The event was opened by the Mayor & Mayoress of Stafford. This was a thrilling experience for me. All the steam Locos & the entire place was so well maintained.
All arrangements made including food was exceptionally good.
This is worth visiting & one should not miss.

“A secret Gem”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

A really nice place ran by enthusiastic volunteers. The whole place is not "Slick" and business like, which is part of its attraction. The train runs through the most Beautiful countryside you could wish to see, and the ticket inspectors are a wealth of information about the surrounding countryside and trains alike.
The kids don't need much to do, however there are always activities for younger ones available.
The bar is wonderful with a variety of real ales to suit all tastes, while the food area provides good homemade food and mugs of tea or coffee.
All in all, a real step back in history and a great half a day out (or day out if you wish to catch the next train back and have a walk in the woods).

“The Santa Train - Absolutely Fantastic”
Reviewed 8 March 2013

Absolutely brilliant, we took our one year old for his first train ride, the staff were just brilliant, they have created this warm, friendly, light hearted atmosphere. They had an array of characters on the train, they gave out drinks and treats which I was not expecting. Then santa come around and gave all the children presents which were really lovely quality books and all sorts. the trains and station is well maintained and clean, The tea room was lovely with lots of choice. I could not fault the whole experience and we will be back next year to support this truly fantastic cause.
