There have been mixed reviews of this place, but it really depends on what you are looking for as to whether you will be disappointed or not. I find it to be a typical Chef & Brewer Pub, that is to say, nice friendly surroundings, reasonably priced pub food, reasonable wine selection by the glass, open all day and easy to park. The layout is such that you have intimate groups of tables rather than a barn of a place. You don't realise how many tables they do have here because of the clever design. It is a great place to take family groups as there is something for everyone on the menu. I take my Mum and Dad who both like it.
OK, - with a menu this size and variety, it is not all freshly cooked to order, but I cook and freeze meals at home so I don't have a problem with that. It is not just a load of deep fried carbohydrates. They have things like guinea fowl, lamb and fish dishes as well. I have been here three times now and will be going again next week. You can now order your food at the table rather than the bar, which makes it more of a restaurant experience.
Ideal for those occasions when you don't want gourmet food and gourmet prices.
