Description: The Seafood & Grill restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak up panoramic views along the beach, whatever the time of year, though if you are lucky enough to visit during summer, you can take full advantage of the sea-facing al fresco terrace. It has a relaxed ambience and restaurant staff are slick and friendly. Menus at the restaurant at The Brudenell Hotel are full of seasonal produce, sourced from local suppliers. Head chef James Barber is responsible for creating the appealing modern European dishes on offer; his specialty is good honest food done well, like salt beef hash with a fried egg and sweet potato fries, or his own version of fish and chips. The extensive wine list offers the discerning drinker plenty of choice, and good value for money.

Probably unfair to make a full review, but whilst staying in Aldeburgh recently we tried to get served outside but got ignored by the waiter and waitress. We checked if we could bring our dog inside and were told that he would be OK in the lounge. We came back the following day but were told quite forcefully that dogs were not allowed inside. Looks like a lovely place, but not dog friendly and the staff seem variable. Now looking elsewhere for a short break in Aldeburgh in June.

Lovely spacious restaurant and very attentive and friendly staff. We met my parents who were staying in the hotel for Easter Sunday Lunch. We had our 17 month old son with us and they could not have been more accommodating. There was a good selection of food on the menu. My parent's shared a 'Classic Fruits de mer', my husband and I had the Salmon and Crab burger and our son had fish and chips from the children's menu which he loved. The presentation was excellent and the food was lovely. We will most certainly be returning.

Visited Brudenell Hotel for afternoon tea. There were 8 of us (6 adult 2 children) so we tried to book but were assured it would be no problem.

The food came on a large bathroom tile. Stale sandwiches, scones already with cream added but one scone without cream at all. No room on small table and no help from staff to sort it out. At £16.00 per head very bad value.
My advice - don't bother

The food was good and the service was friendly. The staff work hard during meal times and are willing to accommodate patrons as much as possible.

My partner treated me to a day out in Suffolk while our son was on a school trip to France. Lunch on the terrace at the Brudenell was something I had wanted to do for a long time and it didn't disappoint. Fish and chips washed down with a glass of pinot grigio, the sun was out and the sea was a stones throw away - perfect. Ps great staff.
