Often seen on television I had was unprepared for the scale of the Maltings at Snape. The setting is glorious in summer evening light. Pre-concert meal served with good humour and attention to detail was very affordable and good. Wonderful Jonathan Biss who has performed world wide played a beautiful programme of classical piano. Biss? Bliss!

Been several times to concerts here. Always enjoy the high standard of music and musicianship. A decent range of shops and restaurants to enjoy.

We were staying in a cottage in Snape for 2 weeks & were within walking distance of the Maltings. We made several visits there as we liked it so much. There are some lovely shops & a choice of places to eat. We particularly liked the food hall with fresh locally baked bread available several days a week & a good choice of local cheeses & other locally produced products. We enjoyed a river trip on one visit which gave us a different outlook on the landscape. We are looking forward to a return trip to the area next year & will be staying in one of the self-catering properties at the Maltings.

We went to the Carolina Chocolate drops at Snape Maltings concert hall - a real treat of older American folk (with a wide interpretation). It was sold out - we had only managed to get seats near the back. But the atmosphere was great, the music enjoyable, and all the concert hall systems worked well on this late summer's evening. Do allow time to get out of the car park at the end as patience is very much required!

A real feel of real rural Suffolk. The restored Malting's are now the Aldeburgh Festival concert Hall. The river side walks are just so peaceful and many species of plants and birds to see. There are several excellent gift shops as well
