Really lovely accommodation, with furnishings and facilities of a high standard. Eugene and Heather were extremely welcoming and we felt immediately at home. Would highly recommend The Swiss Cottage for a weekend break.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in is in was a very high standard but it is in the roof and although there is gre...

This is a lovely B&B and fully deserves an excellent rating. The owners were really friendly, the room spacious, clean, well supplied, and the breakfast high quality and cooked to order. The location is a few miles out of Aldeburgh and so we needed a taxi one evening, but they were all fully booked. However, another guest stepped in and very kindly gave us a lift. So do book in advance if you can! We will definitely return if in the area again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Swiss Cottage. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, breakfast was delicious and hosts were friendly. It is a little way out of Aldeburgh so no sea views but a beautiful secluded garden makes up for this. A lovely stay.

This luxury B&B certainly deserves its five star trip advisor rating. We arrived later than we intended, yet our hosts Eugene and Heather couldn't have been more welcoming, suggesting places to eat to which we drove and literally ran down the main street in Aldeburgh to enjoy. We stayed in the Thorpeness room which had the best bed we've ever slept in away from home. An 8 hour night of blissful sleep was the biggest luxury of our stay. Breakfasts were delicious, home cooked to perfection and served with a smile and a chat. The room and en suite shower room were spotless and tastefully done as is the whole house. The view of the lovely garden was great to wake up to. We based ourselves here to visit Latitude which worked really well with a local taxi firm providing the drop off and pick up. But this would be a lovely place to stay to visit some of the lovely nearby natural beauties as well as the annual classical music festival. Do stay here if you can.

We have stayed at a popular hotel overlooking the sea in Aldeburgh on previous visits to the area but decided to try Swiss Cottage after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed as it far exceeded our expectations in comfort, hospitality and definitely style and we look forward to returning to Heather & Eugene's beautiful home on our next visit to the area.

Myself and my 'new husband' travelled down and stayed here for a short break after our wedding! We were made to feel very welcome by Heather and Eugene and would certainly go back to stay. We stayed in the thorpness room, which was immaculate and had a lovely veiw of the beautiful garden. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety. On leaving we were even presented with a gift of bubbly from Heather and Eugene as a congratultions on our wedding!! Thank you again. Have already told our parents they have to stay here if planning a weekend away to Aldeburgh.
