We have stayed at this hotekl before and love the sea view from therestaurant. The bedroom was lovely overlooking the Alde and an excellent bathroon. Dinner was very good but the service was poor. Our desserts arrived separately! Breakfast could have been better. The scrambled egg with the smoked salmon was dry.

We stayed at half term in February and booked a room for the two of us and our 12 year old daughter. In order to give us a price that we found acceptable, we were offered a double with a sea view that was described as "a bit tight" with the additional bed. We arrived expecting a slightly down at heel seaside hotel and a pokey room. Fortunately we were proved wrong on both counts. The hotel itself is well refurbished and the room was delightful. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.

But.....first we noticed that the room (206) had a persistent low rumbling noise that seemed to be coming from the wardrobe area. We asked about it and were told that there had been no complaints. Nevertheless it was not just left there and the conclusion was that it probably was coming from the ventilation fans for the kitchen. We were assured that these would be switched off by 10.00 and this was the case so it did not disturb our sleep. What did disturb us was the heat in the room. Despite the window being as wide open as possible and all heating turned off (in February!), it was still uncomfortably hot. When I rang reception to see what could be done, they drew my attention to a fan in the wardrobe which we used to cool the room so we could at least get to sleep. But once turned off it became hot again during the night.

My other niggle was the pillows. I feel the hotel could invest in some higher grade pillows as these were amongst the worst I have encountered.

Overall would I stay again? Almost certainly; the location is fantastic, the hotel is of a very good quality and the staff could not have been more helpful.

We stayed two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great room, good views, attentive and helpful staff. Restaurant was good, very good breakfasts, two good evening meals. Only slight grumble is the number of waiting staff dealing with us during each meal. I prefer to have a single waiter or waitress rather than a number delivering the different courses and drinks but that's a relatively minor grumble.

We stayed in the winter, which is not necessarily the best time of year; but timed it during a bright and cold weather window. The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel presented a very hospitable welcome to us.

One of the best "staycations" that we have ever had - no waiting in air terminals, no long coach transfers and no lugging luggage around !!!!

Room Tip: Sea rooms - look out to some wonderful sun rises onto the North Sea. Go for it!

I have stayed at the Brudenell a few times. The location is excellent, I spent a couple of nights last summer in a room looking over the sea which was great.

The rooms I have used are all good.

I think the restaurant is rather expensive and poor for vegetarians but there are other choices in the town.

My husband and I stayed at the end of January for a 3 night break. We opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast option with a bottle of champagne ,very good value.
We were in Room 100 which was a deluxe room in the newly renovated building. The bathroom was very spacious with a bath and a separate shower. There was always loads of hot water, the toiletries were very nice and replenished throughout. The views are amazing,it was very wild and windy while we were staying. This room also has a small balcony big enough for 2 chairs which once renovated will be a great addition to the room.
Breakfasts were very tasty with a good variety on offer. The evening meals were super, sensible sized portions meaning you can enjoy all 3 courses. The desserts were superb!
Aldeburgh is a small town with a very relaxed feel to it and after a day walking and wandering on the East coast I would recommend the Hot Toddy served at the hotel and the Adnams Gin!
The only tip I would give is if you stay midweek in the winter when the restaurant is quieter take a warm cardigan or jumper with you!
All in all a very nice break.Thankyou.
