I stay away a lot and this place is pretty good there are a couple of areas that need improvement but overall jolly decent. I am staying here in deepest darkest January but I would imagine that in late spring and summer it would be lovely. It has a slightly new England feel to it with beach pastel shades used.

I had the 3 course dinner here and broadly good value I pre booked it as a dinner bed and breakfast rate for £100. Menu sounds appealing but needs a little work. I ordered the smoked salmon croque monsieur which sounded interesting but was actually like a deep fried smoked salmon toastie and quite greasy....but okish. for main I ordered venison which was beautifully cooked although a slightly measly portion but was accompanied by 3large croquet potatoes which was rather 70s retro and perhaps not the most suitable
accompaninent.
For desert I had the cheese board which was very nice although served on a baffling mini futon . All washed down with a highly reasonable bottle of Chilean cabernet for £15.
Bed very comfy .... All in all quite a jolly place and with a couple of tweaks in the restaurant could be super.

We stayed here on a weekend and had a lovely time. The only reason I haven't given 5 is because of 2 things. The bathroom in our room was freezing cold. I would think we were just unlucky getting a cold one, as the room itself was fine. The other reason is service in the lounge being a bit slow. Not because of the staff I hasten to add who were all very good, but because of the amount of them. They were stretched a bit thin on a Saturday afternoon, which was a bit annoying at such an obvious busy time. Other than that I have no complaints at all, so much so we are staying again for the Aldeburgh food festival in September.

Just back from a two night break in a deluxe sea view room at the Brudenell. Overall an excellent experience. Our room was lovely - clean, spacious and comfortable. It was sort of classically modern if that makes sense - not so over designed that it lacked comfort but clean and light. We had a lovely sofa in front of the huge bay window overlooking the sea. There were a couple of armchairs too and a large coffee table, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was huge and everything was spotlessly clean. Bathrobes and slippers were provided along with toiletries. There is a comfortable lounge where you can enjoy coffee or a drink from the bar. We had dinner at the hotel on one night and it was very good indeed, and there were a couple of vegetarian choices both of which were a bit different from the standard veggie offerings. Breakfast is great too with a good buffet and plenty of hot choices from the menu. The porridge will prepare you for blustery seaside walks. Service throughout was pleasant, efficient and friendly. Location is good - right across the road from the shingle beach and other restaurants and shop within a couple of minutes walk. There is parking here although it can be a bit challenging. I do think it is all round a touch expensive, but on balance would definitely recommend a stay here.

This hotel is as good as any hotel that we have stayed in, in the last five years. As clean quiet and as comfortable as you could ask for. From the decor to the view from the window out to sea, to the toiletries i can not fault this hotel. We will book the Brudenell again but now ive told you all how good it is it will possibly no longer be such a good find !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just retuend from spending Xmas at the Brudenell in Aldeburgh.
Excellent food, staff were attentive and helpful, couldn't fault the room - we had an absolutely beautiful seaview.
Xmas Lunch was fantastic given the number of people being catered for - had visions of the awful 'works xmas do' type of food but this certainly was not the case.
Since the refurb last year and with the new, excellent management team this hotel can in my opinion only expect better and better reviews.

Three night stay in deluxe seaview room. Room was up to expectation and more. Service excellent at all times. Food excellent. Lots do do in this area. Only complaint would be the expense.
